PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Conducts all-source analysis of foreign defense industrial programs, infrastructure, and capabilities supporting a foreign country's ability to develop, equip, sustain, and employ its military forces across basic, strategic, and military industrial sectors
  • Assessing the research, development, acquisition, test, evaluation and production of foreign weapon systems and equipment; their associated facilities and output levels, knowledge of emerging and enabling technologies; and supporting industrial supply networks from raw materials to finished weapon systems

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category and 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced manufacturing work in the production or processing of products or services. Your duties will involve instructing, training, and supervising inmates in industry practices, methods, and procedures. You will also provide demonstrations, explanations, and close supervision during training and work assignments. Other responsibilities include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned inmates, as well as maintaining training, progress, wage, and attendance records for them. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining established standards of quality and quantity through regular inspections of equipment, raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Furthermore, you will be in charge of the maintenance and repair of factory equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.

Other Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Execution:
Source, negotiate and procure cable assemblies & temperature sensors from approved suppliers.

Create & issue purchase orders. Manage order acknowledgements, delivery schedules, and follow up on any possible changes.
  • Supplier Management
Develop & maintain strong relationships w/suppliers to ensure quality, delivery & cost targets are met.

Monitor supplier performance, support supplier audits and corrective actions.
  • Cross functional collaboration
Work closely with engineering, quality and production teams. Understands technical requirements and resolve supply issues.

Participate in new product development (NPD) & design change process to ensure supply chain readiness.
  • Compliance and documentation
Ensure all purchases comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g. AS 9100, FAA, IFTAR)

Maintain accurate procurement records, including specifications, certifications and traceability documentation within our ERP system (Axiom)
  • Cost and inventory management
Support Cost Savings/Cost Avoidance/Cost Reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing or improved purchasing strategies and value engineering projects.

Monitor inventory levels to avoid material shortages, production delays and support just in time (JIT) delivery strategies.

Assist with inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or related field
  • Three plus years of experience in Aerospace/Space or in a highly reliability manufacturer procurement environment.
  • Familiarity w/cable assemblies, temperature sensors in gas turbine engine components highly preferred
  • Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Axiom) & strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace/Space quality standards & regulatory requirements (e.g. AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, FAA, IFTAR)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Preferred attributes:
  • API, CS or CPM certification
  • Experience with supplier development and risk mitigation strategies
  • Technical aptitude to read and interpret engineer drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM), lead time planning, and just-in-time (JIT) purchasing.

As a Manager you are expected to supervise, develop, and coach teams, manage client service accounts, and drive assigned client engagement workstreams by independently solving and analyzing complex problems to develop quality deliverables. This role requires knowledge in U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards, and a CPA license.

- Utilize digitization and automation for increased efficiencies
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of experience
- CPA license. International hires are required to hold the equivalent certification/credential in the selected individual's home country and will be required to meet US credential requirements after joining the firm.
