Position Description

The Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing monitoring solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across servers, networks, cloud services, and storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SolarWinds and a understanding of infrastructure monitoring best practices. This position plays a key role in early incident detection, performance analysis, and operational visibility.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, network health, and infrastructure availability using industry-standard tools.
  • Identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • Develop, maintain, and reports and dashboards that reflect system status, production issues, and key metrics.
  • Perform regular system audits, inspections, and maintenance to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues, escalating as needed and documenting resolutions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement system improvements and optimize monitoring strategies.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on monitoring tools and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems monitoring.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring configurations, procedures, and support workflows.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support 24/7 monitoring coverage as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for monitoring and alerting processes.
  • Follows ITIL framework / best practices.
  • Familiarity with policies and standards regarding IT security
Qualifications

Education/Certifications

Required:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred:
  • SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or other monitoring-related certifications.
  • Certifications or coursework in IT infrastructure, networking, or cloud platforms. (e.g., SolarWinds (SCP), Microsoft, VMware, Cisco UCS, ITIL/EXIN, CompTIA, Juniper, Palo Alto certifications)
  • Familiarity with ITIL service operations and incident management processes.
  • Training or certification in log aggregation or observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Scripting or automation training in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Experience

Required:
  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring infrastructure environments and application monitoring.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure monitoring, systems administration, or operations.
  • Understanding of Windows systems and network fundamentals
  • Experience with SNMP, WMI, API-based, or agent-based monitoring methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret logs, metrics, and alerts for effective troubleshooting and proactive issue identification.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with virtual environments, VMware preferred.
Preferred:
  • Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion Platform (NPM, SAM, NCM, NTA) or similar enterprise-grade monitoring tools.
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with log aggregation or observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)

  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

Job Description
The selected candidate will:
1. Be responsible for all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through:
1. Remote Monitoring
1. Remote dial-in to the compressor station and evaluate the demand to supply profile.
2. Independently act on system alarms and e-mail notifications.
3. Pro-actively coordinate with servicing partners and/or site personnel to address critical alarms, including dispatching technicians after hours.
4. Monitor service intervals, coordinate scheduling of on-site service and maintenance activity.
5. Schedule and coordinate site visits for regular systems inspections.
6. When required perform site audits to identify potential areas of improvement.
7. Analyze data with Kaeser proprietary software to correlate faults to system operation and recognize system trends.
8. Provide reports based on analyzed data for escalations and management of site performance.
2. Coordinates with the Technical Department to:
1. Independently review service intervals and optimize based on site data analysis.
2. Provide as necessary "real world" data for machine service and maintenance lifecycle calculations.
3. Evaluate necessary improvement initiatives.
4. When necessary supervise site work to assure adherence to the specifications.
5. Perform task and supervise activities within the approved budgets and provide justification when cost overruns occur.
6. Monitors compressors and compressed air stations outside of SAU as required.
2. Responsible for learning and following all applicable procedures and work instructions relating to the Company's quality and environmental system.
3. Performs all other duties assigned by the Manager.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate's background will include:
+ High School Diploma required; Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience 3+ years job related experience.
+ Good customer service experience.
+ Previous experience as a technician, troubleshooting or mechanical aptitude preferred.
+ Familiar with data processing including graphing and interpretation preferred.
+ Understanding of compressed air systems and the application of supply side components preferred.
+ Ability to understand and produce/edit technical documents.
+ Good communication skills/phone skills required.
+ Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
+ SAP experience preferred.

The Opportunity:

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Infrastructure Observability and Monitoring Lead to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Information Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manages a team to design and configure infrastructure monitoring tools and services to promote real-time access to system alerts, cyber status, events, and other data collection that informs operations teams and government stakeholders.
  2. Monitors and manages user and group access to tools, dashboards, reports, and data.
  3. Collaborates with other engineers and operations teams on requirements, APIs, and other data collection techniques and correlations on integrated infrastructure usage, alert thresholds, and potential aggregation for automated ticket creation.
  4. Designs tests using simulations, physical components, and synthetic data transactions to enable lab-based and in-production validation of system health, availability, and performance.
  5. Develops clear and complete documentation for monitoring solutions, analytic platforms, and related activities.
  6. Provides Tier 3 engineering support for all monitoring and management solutions to meet SLA requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Must hold a current Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
  2. Experience managing teams, or projects.
  3. An AS/AA and 14+ years of experience, BS/BA and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experience.
  4. Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing infrastructure monitoring and management solutions.
  5. Practical experience with Splunk, SolarWinds, NETSCOUT, NNMi, HPNA, Cisco Catalyst, or other infrastructure monitoring and management platforms.
  6. Practical experience with Tableau, Power BI, and other reporting or dashboard engines.
  7. Current DoD 8140 – IAT II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+).
  8. Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.

Desired:

  1. Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
  2. Practical experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM systems.
  3. Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments.
  4. ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,100-$172,400. As the Infrastructure Architect, you will be a key interface between Philips and our customers concerning their solution design. Your role:

  • Being the knowledge expert of the Health Systems Enterprise Monitoring ecosystem. Supporting the Key Account Manager (KAM) in driving overall business and deal support, by providing technical expertise on hospital patient monitoring solutions and medical device integration that will increase clinical and technical efficiencies within the healthcare environment.

  • Collaborating with the KAM on complex solution selling, while translating the Philips value to healthcare workflow initiatives. Participating in defining and controlling the implementation of the Market 2 Order process, including the development of the Statement of Work and VAS Scope of work.

  • Assisting KAMs with customer presentations, specifically focused on the technical components of the value proposition. For Philips Install Base accounts, this includes a current state and future state proposal, request for proposals strategy and quotation.

  • Supporting KAMs and Hospital Patient Monitoring District Sales Leaders (HPM DSL) in achievement of business goals including balanced selling, AOP attainment, business plan development (Score Cards) and forecasting.

  • Partnering with Sales Support providing input on Sales tools, quoting/pricing issues and competitive threats, which enable both Sales Support and Marketing to best support the Specialists and provide input to the Business Unit. Monitoring competition and changes in the industry, while providing effective feedback to the Sales and marketing organizations that include suggestions for expanding product offerings.

Philips Transparency Details

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $152,200 to $163,400 annually, plus company fleet/car. Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.
