We are seeking experienced chef instructors to teach live, in-person recreational cooking, baking, and pastry classes. This opportunity is not virtual . This opportunity is available for chefs who are interested in teaching in one of CocuSocial's partner venues (restaurants, hotels, breweries, event spaces).

CocuSocial Chef Instructors can expect flexible scheduling, the opportunity to teach recipes and dishes they're passionate about, a supportive team to assist in creating best-selling classes, and competitive compensation.

We're looking for experienced chef instructors who are comfortable teaching any of the following popular international dishes: Dumplings, Handmade Pasta, Pizza, French Macarons, Choux Pastry, Pad Thai, Spanish Paella and Spanish Tapas .

The instructor will be responsible for leading and organizing the entire class, including purchasing ingredients, setting up, teaching each dish step-by-step in a hands-on manner, and cleaning up.

Qualifications

-An experienced chef instructor with at least 2 years experience teaching recreational cooking classes

-An individual with ServSafe certification or a relevant food handler's license

-Authorized to work in the United States

-Someone who loves to share his/her/their passion for cooking with other people and help them to learn in a hands-on manner

Sick Leave

Job Summary

Provides high quality instruction in Information Systems and Technology Management with a focus in cybersecurity so that each student may meet learning outcomes. Works with the dean and colleagues to improve student learning experiences. COLLEGE PAID BENEFITS

Health Benefit Options MHCC is a member of the Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) which administers Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Long Term Disability (LTD) and Employee Assistance Plan (EAP). Health insurance plan coverage will begin on the first day of the month following the first day of employment for a faculty member. If the first working day for a faculty member falls between the 1st and the 14th of the month, the College will provide a stipend equivalent to half of the insurance premium for the plan the faculty member selects, payable in the first paycheck after that selection is made.

Important Retirement Information: Make sure you are enrolled in the medical, dental, vision and/or optional plans you want when you retire. Retirement is not considered a Qualified Status Change (QSC) so you cannot add or change plans at the time of retirement.

In order to ensure that a spouse/domestic partner and/or eligible dependent can be covered when you retire you will need to enroll them on MHCC's policy at the open enrollment period prior to your retirement date even though they may be covered under another policy.
Coverage for domestic partners is a taxable benefit under IRS guidelines. Appropriate taxes will be deducted from your payroll.

  • Life Insurance Coverage = Two (2) times the basic contract salary (rounded to the nearest 1,000). not to exceed 300,000

  • Long Term Disability (LTD)
  • Approved benefit claims begin after 90-day elimination period. Maximum benefit is 66 2/3 of monthly salary; benefit may be adjusted based on other income received by retirement benefits.

Public Employees Retirement Plan (PERS)
Consistent with PERS rules, the employee contributes 6% of their gross salary into an Individual Account Program (IAP) with PERS. The contribution is set up automatically. At the time of retirement, based on one of the following programs, a monthly pension benefit is calculated. Please refer the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) website for detailed information on retirement benefits:

Public Employees Retirement System - Tier One/Tier Two
Hired by a PERS employer before August 28, 2003 and have an active account.

Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan - OPSRP
Hired on or after August 28, 2003 and do not have active account in the PERS Program.

Tuition Waiver Plan
The College will maintain the current tuition waiver plan for faculty members, their spouses/domestic partners and their eligible dependents eligible through age 23. Faculty members and their spouses/domestic partners will pay only course specific fees.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
MHCC's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is through Reliant Behavioral Health (RBH) which provides services to help people privately resolve problems that may interfere with work, family, and other important areas of life.

The EAP provides FREE (no charge for utilization) and confidential services to employees and their dependents, living at or away from home, and all household members, related or not. MHCC employees, spouses/domestic partner, dependents and their eligible household members have five (5) free EAP services per new issue, including relationship, family, stress, anxiety, and other common challenges. Employees must get a referral from the EAP for each issue for services to be covered.

Use of MHCC Swimming Pool
The College will provide a swim pass for faculty members, their spouses/domestic partners and their dependents through age 23.

Sick Leave
A faculty member shall receive a credit of ten (10) days of sick leave upon initial employment, and thereafter shall accrue sick leave at the rate of ten (10) days for working the three (3) terms during the contract year. A faculty member who works a fourth term in the summer shall receive one (1) sick leave day for each five-week session or equivalent, up to a maximum of two (2) sick leave days.

Holidays
A faculty member who works a fifty percent (50%) or greater instructional load in a term is eligible for paid holidays that fall within that term.

Function/Duties of Position

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology is recruiting a Nocturnist Hospitalist to cover 8-12 nights (5:00 pm to 7:15 am) per month in the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology inpatient unit. Some weekend day coverage may substitute for some nights.

The Duties Of This Position Include

Clinical Activities ( not related to teaching or research ):

Assure the safe, efficient, high quality and customer oriented management of patient care to the pediatric hematology/oncology population, including but not limited to completing a comprehensive assessment of the patients status; developing, monitoring and revising, as appropriate, an evidence-based treatment plan that addresses diagnoses, patterns of disease, risk factors, and treatment alternatives; treat many common acute and chronic health problems; interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe and manage medications and other therapies; provide health teaching with an emphasis on anticipatory guidance and risks of complications of therapy.

Scholarly Activities ( research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.):

We are looking for an experienced, **Part-time, Air Traffic Control Instructor** to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the **Portland TRACON (P80) in Portland, OR,** supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The CTS Instructor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.
To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
**US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.**
The CTS Instructor candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility. Experience must have been at the same type and same (or greater) level of ATC facility as the **Portland TRACON (P80).**
The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. This position will provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO) as well as participate in curriculum design and development. The selected candidate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
**Desired Skills and Experience:**
+ Direct experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) at the Portland TRACON (P80) is preferred but not required.
+ Operational Experience with ATC simulators including scenario design for simulation platforms (e.g. TSS, AT Coach, SGET, etc.).
+ Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure the delivery of training services meet the needs of the local facility, as well as the FAA's overall Air Traffic Control mission is highly desired.
+ Experience demonstrating excellent teaching and/or platform skills, classroom management techniques, and a student-focused drive for continuous improvement.

Job Summary

The NA Instructor will provide instruction within the Nursing Assistant Program at Avamere. The instructor must be current and competent in the Nursing Assistant Scope of Practice and core curriculum objectives included in all courses. The instructor's responsibilities include clinical instruction and evaluation. Excellent communication skills are essential. The incumbent must be able to motivate and inspire students. Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for screening, interviewing and placement of students in each cohort. Cohorts include 65 hours of classroom/Lab and 40 hours of Clinical.

  • Is onsite and available during 100% of the clinical teaching time.
