The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, at the University of Colorado has an opening for a full-time float sonographer at the rank of Instructor/Sonographer between a 0.525 - 0.925 FTE. This position will provide support to the freestanding Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic, located in Downtown Denver, Littleton, Parker, and Fort Collins. This position reports directly to the MFM Practice Manager and indirectly to the Medical Directors and the Division Administrative Director. The duties of this position include performing independent diagnostic ultrasound examinations on "high risk obstetrical" patients who will be subsequently evaluated and treated by a Maternal Fetal Medicine attending physician, preparing preliminary reports for physician review, and verifying data obtained from the ultrasound. As needed, this position may be asked to review and triage referrals alongside schedulers and MFM providers to determine urgency in scheduling. You will work cooperatively with the Medical Directors, Perinatologists, fellow Sonographers, and the administrative team to ensure high quality patient care and referring physician satisfaction. This position will be scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5 pm with no on-call obligation. Each MFM clinic has two sonographers onsite each day. Each sonographer covers one room with an average of 8 patient scans per day. Each clinic has either GE Voluson22 or GE Voluson E10s with ViewPoint reporting software that interfaces with EPIC for our EMR system. We follow AIUM guidelines for our ultrasound protocols and each clinic is recognized as an AIUM accredited ultrasound practice. CU MFM values a work culture in which our sonographers are well respected. The MFM division is comprised of a dynamic team, which includes 3 dedicated Fetal Surgeons, 21 MFM physicians, 2 Physician Assistants, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 2 Genetic Counselors, 1 OB Endocrine Physician, 2 Diabetes Educators, 12 Sonographers, 1 Nurse Navigator, 8 Medical Assistants, and 4 dedicated schedulers.The MFM physicians are amazing to work with. There is an ample amount of partnership between our MFM physicians and the sonographers. After each scan, the sonographer will present the case to the MFM physician and share their perspective on the patient's case. As CU MFM is part of an academic institution, a great deal of importance is placed upon teaching and ongoing education.CU MFM hosts a monthly Education Series for the clinical and nonclinical staff. In this series, MFM physicians present different topics, protocols, and interesting ultrasound cases. CU MFM also hosts a biennial fetal imaging ultrasound conference in partnership with Children's Hospital Colorado, which includes presentations from MFM physicians and MFM sonographers as well as a hands-on ultrasound training course.

A position as an Instructor is available within the Reis research laboratory in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, at the University of Colorado Denver-Anschutz Medical Campus. This is a full-time (1.0FTE) position that will utilize cellular, molecular, biochemical, genetic, imaging and bioinformatic/computational approaches in a wet lab setting using Drosophila melanogaster as the model system. The Reis lab uses the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to identify genes and neuronal networks acting in regulatory pathways within and between organs to prevent metabolic dysfunction.As an Instructor in our lab, you will work together with Dr Reis on establishing new research projects and directions, lead research projects, support training of graduate students and other new lab members, and oversee lab management. The main focus will be performing active research and experiments in the context of driving new directions or research and/or closing out projects. Research in the Reis lab employs a diverse number of approaches: Drosophila melanogaster husbandry, genetics and behavioral assays, standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis), and microscopy (fluorescence and confocal microscopy) are a few examples. The Instructor position's primary duties will be to conduct research in the lab on funded projects. Additionally, and together with Dr Reis, on a daily basis, the Instructor will conduct research on establish projects and or/ new projects developing new directions for the lab. This position also involves some laboratory administrational work (about 10%) that includes overseeing overall lab management (coordinating ordering or reagents, maintaining and organizing inventories of lab supplies) as well as managing other support lab personnel (e.g. the lab aid that cooks fly media and maintains laboratory stocks). As is with most research conducted in animals, working hours have to be flexible and require time commitment on weekends.This research faculty position will be supervised by Dr Reis.This position may have supervisory responsibilities with research professionals.Your duties in this faculty position will include: This position in the Reis lab is intended to remain research-only. The nationally-ranked School of Public Affairs (SPA) at the University of Colorado Denver seeks a full-time Instructor for a temporary appointment from Aug 11, 2025-May 22, 2026 (which constitutes one academic year) to teach students in our criminal justice program starting fall of 2025. The expected teaching load is eight courses over the duration **in-person and online** (4 in each semester).
This position has budget approval for one academic year. Moving expenses will not be covered, and we are not able to cover visa sponsorships and expenses for this position.
**What you will do:**
**Key Responsibilities & Areas of Teaching :**
+ Teach courses at both the Undergraduate and Graduate (Master's) level in the Criminal Justice Programs as needed by SPA
**Areas of expertise and teaching areas that we are looking for include** :
+ Master's Courses:Criminological Theory, Research Methods, Statistics, and Interpersonal Violence courses
+ Bachelor's Courses:Statistics and Research Methods, Courts and Judicial Process, Victimology, Violence in Society
+ Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Criminal Justice programs through committee service, student mentorship (formal academic advising provided by professional advisors in the School), serving as a second reader on capstone projects, and positively contributing to SPA programs
**Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)**

+ *PhD in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Criminology, Public Administration, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or a closely related field.
+ Applicants must have teaching experience and effectiveness in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and/or similar programs.
+ Demonstrated ability to teach online classes
* Substitution for a completed PhD may be considered for a candidate with a JD or master's degree who is a _subject matter expert_ and the person possesses extensive professional skills and expertise related to the field of the degree program and the subject of the course, demonstrated through the holding of substantive professional positions (more than 5 years at minimum, and preferably 10 years or more) in the field and a record of professional accomplishment showing the mastery of topics and skills taught in the course.

Outcomes research uses a wide variety of research designs to expand understanding of how to measure outcomes of health care. The course is designed to provide students with both theory and application through case studies and in-class activities. **Nature of Work:**
The physician assistant or nurse practitioner will provide clinical care in the Emergency Department at the Free Standing Emergency Medicine Hospitals (Mississippi & Green Valley Sites), as delegated by a person licensed to practice medicine in Colorado. Principal activities include patient care in our Super Track environment (continuation of care of ESI 3-4 patients) working in a Clinical Decision Unit in the Emergency Department, as well as working collaboratively with Faculty Attendings on more complicated patients in the main zones of the ED. Delegated medical care includes, but is not limited to, the assessment, treatment and care of patients of all age categories. It is expected the employee will be competent to interpret age specific developmental, physiologic and unique care needs by assessment and by observation of care
delivery.
**Examples of Work Performed:**
+ Performs histories and physicals on episodic, low acuity patients in the Emergency Department as delegated by physicians.
+ Collects, reviews and correlates data to assist physician in appropriate medical management of patients.
+ Assists physician by triaging and monitoring patients, referring for appropriate care as indicated.
+ Assists in scheduling patients for various clinical appointments and procedures. Participates in patient education.
+ Performs, or assists physician with, direct patient care services as needed. Administers medicine and therapeutic agents as directed.
+ Participates in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with JCAHO accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Active and current license to practice as physician assistant or nurse practitioner in the State of Colorado
+ Certificate of completion from a nurse practitioner or physician assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
+ Certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or other agency
+ Current and active certification in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and advanced trauma life support (ATLS)
+ Master's degree for physician assistants or nurse practitioners

The College of Business invites applications for two full-time (1.00 FTE ), 9-month, fixed-term Instructor positions. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The position reports directly to the Executive Director for Student Success in the College of Business. The purpose of this position is to provide instruction within the College's first year BA160 series, BA101, Professional Development and Blueprint Courses.
This position is responsible for the instruction, curriculum development, classroom management, and overseeing academic projects as part of the Student Engagement curriculum.
This position will participate in strategic planning efforts that support the mission, vision, and goals for the College of Business as it pertains to the Student Engagement program.

Key Responsibilities
90% - Classroom Management & Programming:
+ Supports and teaches courses under the Student Engagement team (small lecture courses, and large lecture recitation courses).
+ Trains, supervises/mentors, and evaluates student teaching assistants.
+ Works with Student Engagement's staff, student workers and faculty to identify and implement enhanced events tied to Student Engagement to promote the success of students in collaboration with faculty, alumni and industry representatives.
+ Provides support for Student Engagement teaching team, including but not limited to: creating course content and curriculum, designing student and team assignments and exams, grading, and facilitating classroom functions, etc.
+ Supports the onboarding of first year and transfer students through orientation and welcome week programming.
+ Manages Innovation Nation's student-run microbusiness projects.
+ Collaborates with the Assistant Director of Student Engagement in planning programs that contribute to the program's mission.
+ Meets 1:1 with students to provide holistic support.
+ Interacts with a variety of internal and external customers (e.g., staff, student assistants, business owners, students and their families, companies, outside speakers, faculty, classified and administrative personnel in the college and throughout the university, vendors, and program sponsors) by phone, in person, electronically (website/email), etc.
+ Contribute to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts; provide mentoring and opportunities for students from underrepresented groups; enable the advancement of diverse perspectives; and promote equitable outcomes among learners of diverse and underrepresented identity groups.
10% Service:
+ Service to College, University, and profession. Engage in activities within the University and the profession, including contributing to College and University strategic initiatives that support DEI efforts and foster a more inclusive academic community. Serve on college and/or University committees, attend professional conferences or other trainings, and participate in college/University events as required.
What You Will Need
+ Master's degree in Business, Education, College Student Services and Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
+ Experience with supporting students in their personal, professional and academic pursuits in a higher education setting.
+ Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and a commitment to advancing the participation of diverse groups and supporting diverse perspectives.
+ Demonstrated record of effective teaching at a high school level or accredited university.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, utilizing inclusive language and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy across diverse cultural boundaries
+ Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
+ High computer proficiency; required qualifications include: strong MS office experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and working knowledge of Outlook and Windows/Mac.
+ Ability to maintain professional decorum, as well as know or can demonstrate ability to learn and work within OSU system.
