Job Description Title: Data Warehouse Specialist I Location: BOSTON, MA Duration: 6 Months Job Description: • Logical data model adaptation – using skills including Erwin, Business Analysis, Data modeling • Reconcile logical model with data • Model the physical data models • Data profiling – Information analyzer/Excel preferred Data Analysis, Modeling and Design • Make key physical design decisions which will impact how the data is distributed in client’s environment. • Enable Data Views via Physical/Virtual marts or via other presentation tools. • Maintain metadata within the metadata management tool. Activities • Hadoop cluster configuration using Hadoop big data architecture • Data ingestion/curation using Pig, Hive, Sqoop or other Hadoop tools • Orchestrate data workflows • Build security and audit controls using Hadoop ecosystem • Performance tuning of Hadoop ecosystem Qualifications Preferred level of experience • 3+ years experience in Hadoop (including Azure HD Insight technology stack), DBA, Visualization areas. • 5+ Years experience in Data Architecture including Big Data and Large Scale Data Warehousing. Data Integration/Developer Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain data integration processes between disparate systems. Understand and translate business needs into data models. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand and address data needs. Manage and maintain knowledge management systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to all relevant stakeholders. Ensure compliance with data governance, data security, and privacy policies. Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling. Proven experience in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and systems. Proficiency in knowledge management tools and software. Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices. Proven work experience as a Data Integration Developer, Data Analysis, or similar role. Proficiency in SharePoint and Power BI. Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling and data architecture. Proven track record of enhancing knowledge sharing, improving data accessibility, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Excellent communication skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management skills.
