Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
**Anticipated salary range:** $108,000/yr - $154,300/yr

**_Job Summary_**
The Manager, Inventory Management leads the site's Inventory Management team and oversees the stocking optimization and inventory planning in the facility through a team of Supervisors and other professionals. The Manager contributes to the facility's profitability through managing supplier costs and driving operational improvements. As a primary liaison to the Souring function, the Manager provides key input into supplier negotiations, demand planning and forecasting and also translates operational changes in the broader distribution network into requirements for the facility.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Oversees the site's Inventory Management team by setting short- and long-term objectives, directing tasks for individual teams and professionals, and providing guidance on complex issues. Leads regular meetings with Supervisors to ensure alignment.
+ Drives the profitability and operating margins of the facility by implementing supplier contracts with minimal costs. Regularly monitors revenues and costs at the supplier level and assesses opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
+ Based on expert knowledge of the facility's operations and analyses and reporting conducted by managed team, provides inputs into supplier negotiations executed by Sourcing teams. Ensures that supplier agreements are aligned to the capabilities and economics of the facility.
+ Provides input and feedback into the business unit's demand planning and forecasting based on inventory planning and supplier relations.
+ Evaluates the impact of changes in standard operating procedures, network planning and major supplier agreements on the facility's operations. Coordinates with Managers, Warehouse Operations and other site leaders in order to modify operations to meet new requirements and customer commitments.
+ Evaluates performance of teams and of direct reports, providing regular feedback and development opportunities. Participates in people management activities including performance reviews, recruiting and onboarding, and talent management.
+ Directs regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure high inventory accuracy and to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

Commitment to quality, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with supply chain management software, Lean Six Sigma principles. Position Summary: The position of supply chain analyst will support the demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and sourcing functions within the supply chain organization. This role will analyze and process demand forecasts, develop detailed supply schedules, support sourcing-related tasks and help with KPI (key performance indicator) tracking and management. The role will require strong collaborative, analytical and leadership skills along with the ability to take initiative and work independently to complete tasks. Note that this is an onsite role in either our Mt Prospect, IL or Commack, NY locations with the opportunity for a limited hybrid option after six months. Location: Mount Prospect, IL or Commack, NY Key Responsibilities: Develop a supply schedule that includes blending and manufacturing processes and takes into account RM receipt, changeover, and sales order timing. Help prepare and run supply review meetings including schedule adherence, OTIF (on time and in full) and production plan updates. Analyze, summarize, and process customer forecasts, order trends, marketplace data and other inputs to support the demand planning process. Help prepare and run demand review meetings to drive alignment on an assumption-based demand forecast and validate forecasts against orders. Develop reporting, root cause and forward actions to improve KPIs including customer service levels, schedule adherence, forecasting accuracy, supplier performance, cost savings and other metrics. Provide support for sourcing and material cost savings initiatives including set up and costing with new and alternate vendors. Liaison with IT and use advanced Excel, PowerBI and other tools to automate supply chain department tasks and drive efficiencies. Be available to help the supply chain department as needed with time-sensitive tasks and projects. Qualifications: Strong collaborative, interpersonal, problem solving, leadership and persuasion skills. Background in a private equity or a startup environment is helpful. Familiarity with JDE or related ERP system preferred. Strong Excel, PowerBI and Office skills required. Database skills such as SQL or Access a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle a dynamic and fast-moving environment with recurring deliverables. Problem solving skills and ability to work independently. Some team members will be remote. Ability to develop forecast models and an understanding of basic statistics required. Education & Experience: 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or related analytical function. Bachelor’s degree. Major in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or an analytical field is preferred.
