Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to lead our direct buying and production procurement efforts. This role is integral to our pioneering mission in building innovative infrastructure in space. You will collaborate with engineering teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee purchase orders, while shaping the future of our supply chain department.
Responsibilities
+ Direct buying and production procurement management.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to determine parts needed and timelines.
+ Obtain quotes from an established vendor base.
+ Manage purchase orders resulting from external business events.
+ Lead and shape the supply chain/procurement department.
Essential Skills

Pay and Benefits

Role Summary:

American Outdoor Products is seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead all aspects of our end-to-end supply chain, from ingredient and packaging sourcing to production planning, inventory management, and purchasing. This role is critical to ensuring our products are made with integrity, delivered on time, and aligned with our quality, sustainability, and cost expectations. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee demand forecasting, procurement, inventory control, S&OP, and inbound/outbound logistics, partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, QA, and Finance to enable operational excellence and business growth.


Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the ideal candidate brings deep experience in food or CPG supply chains, thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment, and takes pride in building systems that support both the brand vision and supply reliability.


Responsibilities:

Supplier and Contract Management

  • Lead supplier relationship management, ensuring alignment with AOPs cost, quality, sustainability, and social responsibility goals.
  • Strategically source raw materials and packaging to optimize cost of goods, mitigate risks, and identify secondary/contingency suppliers.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, service terms, and performance standards, ensuring long-term value and reliability.
  • Issue, manage, and receive all purchase orders (POs) through the ERP system (Infor Syteline), maintaining clear and proactive communication with suppliers.
  • Provide ingredient forecasts to suppliers to ensure availability and maintain service levels.
  • Coordinate and schedule inbound ingredient shipments and pickups as needed, optimizing cost and lead times.

Procurement and Inventory Management

  • Maintain raw material and packaging inventory at targeted levels through creative procurement strategies such as blanket POs, call-offs, volume leveraging, and safety stock optimization.
  • Monitor inventory turnover, aging, and risk exposure; proactively adjust purchasing and storage strategies to support financial and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with QA to verify supplier documentation, material authenticity, certifications, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product innovation by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers aligned with product development goals and brand standards.

Demand Planning and S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning)

  • Lead the S&OP process, developing collaborative forecasts based on historical sales, market trends, and sales projections to align supply and production planning.
  • Develop and maintain demand plans that drive production schedules, inventory strategies, procurement cycles, and supplier communication.
  • Review and adjust production work orders daily/weekly based on demand fluctuations, material availability, and customer needs.
  • Ensure proactive communication with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align forecasts and respond dynamically to changing business requirements.

Production Scheduling

  • Assist in building and managing rolling production schedules that ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) fulfillment of customer orders, adjusting schedules proactively to maintain service and efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly ingredient inventory reviews to ensure materials are available to support production runs; identify and resolve shortages or delays ahead of schedule.
  • Manage production work order issuance, tracking, and adjustments within ERP system.

Budget and Productivity Management

  • Own and manage supply chain cost reporting and analysis, covering key spend categories including raw materials, packaging, inventory, and inbound logistics.
  • Track supply chain variances, report on budget adherence, and provide recommendations for corrective actions where needed.
  • Secure competitive quotations from suppliers and recommend selections based on quality, sustainability, service, and total cost of ownership.
  • Identify opportunities for supply chain innovation, process improvement, and cost optimization based on industry best practices.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, data visibility, and operational resilience.
  • Support and contribute to broader organizational initiatives, including sustainability, quality assurance, and operational excellence programs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, demand planning, or operations, preferably within the food or CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management, with a focus on cost optimization and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to lead and improve S&OP processes, demand forecasting, inventory planning, and production scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Infor Syteline, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced mastery in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present clearly to leadership.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, QA, and Finance to align supply chain strategies with broader business goals.
  • Familiarity with food industry regulatory compliance and documentation standards related to ingredient traceability and vendor verification.
  • Experience with or interest in sustainable and ethical sourcing practices is a plus.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.

The Department of Management is one of five academic departments in the College of Business. The Department currently has 20 tenure-track faculty, nine contract and continuing faculty, one senior research scholar, and two postdoctoral researchers who serve approximately 3,300 business majors, over 1,000 business minors, and 1,000 graduate students. With robust research support and a collaborative research community, Department faculty excel in publishing in top management and disciplinary journals. Position Summary
The Department of Management at Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-tenure track Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Management at the College of Business. The start date for a Fall of 2026 appointment is August 16th, 2026. Salary and benefits are competitive. Specific responsibilities include:
+ teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in supply chain management (e.g., purchasing, operations management, logistics, global SCM ) and other related topics;
+ conducting research leading to scholarly publication in leading academic journals; and
+ providing service to the College, University, profession and community (service expectations are commensurate with rank).

Required Job Qualifications
+ A Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or related field from an AACSB -accredited Business School. ABD candidates will be considered only if there is sufficient evidence that the doctorate degree will be completed before August 15, 2026.
+ An established record of publishing empirical research in top-tier, peer reviewed, academic journals, or a demonstrated potential to do so.
+ The ability to effectively teach courses in supply chain management, provide service, and conduct research with colleagues per the responsibilities of the rank.
Preferred Job Qualifications
In addition to required qualifications, preferred candidates will have:
+ Demonstrated or strong potential to work with existing faculty to continue elevating our supply chain management program to national prominence;
+ Targeted or published empirical supply chain management researchin top-tier, peer reviewed, academic journals or a demonstrated potential to do so;
+ The ability to complement and build upon our strengths in supply chain management research as well as bring new dimensions to our research profile. Areas can include research that emphasizes sustainability within the supply chain, global/international supply chain management, supply chain resiliency, and supply networks;
+ The ability to translate their research into practical discussion points for industry;
+ The ability to teach general supply chain and potentially procurement/purchasing or other advanced classes as needed; and
+ The potential to work effectively in a department that places significant emphasis on interdisciplinary interaction, collegiality, and integration.
+ Candidates are expected to have an expressed commitment to the College's mission, vision, and values.

Keeping the back of house in order is a key factor in successful mission planning. As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will maximize your organizational skills and learn the ins and outs of supply chain management. From storage and distribution to warehouse management, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and perform specific functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts.

Major duties include: establishing and maintaining records (stock lists, inventory, material control, etc.), maintaining stock locator system and administering document control procedures, processing requests and turn-in documents, performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties in manual and automated supply applications, and operating material-handling equipment.

Job Duties
• Construct bins, shelving and other storage aids
• Simplify and standardize the collection and use of maintenance data
• Raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost, and parts data through improved maintenance management

Automated Logistical Specialist job training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which includes practice in handling and storing stock. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.

Interns will gain an in-depth view of how the world's largest brewer manages its supply chain from the barley fields to local bars. They will have the chance to own a project that delivers real business results in one of our Sales & Distribution Centers, Breweries or Corporate Headquarters.

The Supply Chain Internship is the first step to joining our full-time Supply Chain Trainee Program after graduation. The full-time program will ultimately prepare you for your first role as a front-line manager in one of our Sales & Distribution Centers or Breweries leading a team of hourly employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience in a Sales & Distribution Center, Brewery or Corporate Headquarters

  • Project work with real business impact - solving a problem or implementing an improvement in the supply chain organization.

  • Deep dive into support functions, and exposure to senior leaders throughout the program.

  • Development opportunities to help boost skillset and build long-term career potential through leadership & functional trainings

  • Upon successful completion of the project, you will be given the opportunity to present your results to North American Logistics Leadership Team.

  • Current university student with a GPA 3.0 or greater.

  • A background in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business may help, but all majors are accepted.
