**Your Career**
Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to own inventory management, E&O analysis and inventory related analytics activities to support our business. This will include actively monitoring, managing our inventory and providing a constant feedback loop to maintain the right flexibility and avoid potential excess. This individual will need to collaborate with planning, finance and multiple cross functional teams to achieve all objectives. The position will report to the Director, Planning.
**Your Impact**
+ Own and drive the end-to-end process of E&O inventory analysis, reporting, and assessment across multiple product lines and business units
+ Develop and maintain advanced analytical models to identify excess and obsolete inventory trends, root causes, and potential financial impacts
+ Collaborate closely with demand planning, procurement, sales, and finance teams to validate findings and develop actionable inventory reduction strategies
+ Lead periodic inventory health reviews and provide recommendations for inventory adjustments, write-offs, or liquidation
+ Monitor inventory performance metrics and KPIs related to excess and obsolete stock, reporting progress and risks to senior management
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process changes or technology enhancements to improve E&O visibility and control
+ Manage and refine inventory segmentation and classification criteria to better predict and mitigate future E&O risks
+ Facilitate cross-functional communication and training to promote inventory ownership and accountability throughout the supply chain
**Your Experience**
+ Must have 8+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain analytics, or related roles with strong exposure to excess and obsolete inventory management
+ Must have Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or relevant certification or equivalent military experience required
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
+ Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.

**Compensation Disclosure**
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $118000/YR - $191500/YR. **POSITION SUMMARY**

**Receiving - Incoming/Outgoing**

+ Checks, receives, breaks down, and separates incoming customer returns. Review condition, expiration date range, and recall status. Restock saleable product and take appropriate action on product that is not in saleable condition and communicate all outcomes with Customer Service

**Inventory**
+ Perform cycle counts and BIN verification activities.
+ Perform customer service and purchasing initiated cycle counts (customer shipments, vendor receipts) and respond accordingly.
+ Maintains accurate inventory locations and moves inventory locations as required.
+ Manage product to avoid instances of damage or expiration. As necessary, determine appropriate disposition of inventory, including any avenues for recoup of cost of goods.
+ Establish, maintain, and execute the warehouse optimization program, slotting, which ensures that product is available in the most operationally efficient warehouse locations Investigation/Analysis

Position Summary
The Inventory Planning and Procurement Specialist uses analytical, planning and communication skills to insure an adequate supply of inventory and supplies are available to sustain ongoing sales and service operations at commercially attractive rates for US operations and consistent with Levare US and Corporate inventory practices and objectives.
Job Functions/Duties (may be assigned other duties by management)
• Analyzes monthly inventory consumption: uses statistical analysis, knowledge of expected inventory requirements and other tools, to prepare and submit the monthly inventory order request to Purchasing Department.
• Reviews weekly, or as needed, Purchase Order shipment and tracking data to insure continuous and adequate availability of inventory and supplies for operations. Takes action as needed making recommendations to Supervisor, to accelerate or defer deliveries of inventory shipments.
• Ensures the organization has the right amount of stock to meet customer needs and to avoid overstocking items.
• Collects and organizes information from a variety of sources, such as computer databases, sales histories, and customer feedback.
• Assesses, responds and acts upon as needed, to ad hoc inventory order requests originating from Operations.
• Interacts regularly and routinely with Purchasing Team (local and Corporate) to insure orders and deliveries are updated in ERP system and are consistent with the ongoing business needs.
• Works closely with Manufacturing and Inventory Departments to communicate needs of business.
• Interacts regularly and routinely with the Corporate Team, scheduling and Logistics Teams to communicate US operations needs and requests with respect to production scheduling, and/or accelerated or deferred inventory shipments.
• Continued focus on improving inventory turn rates.
• Analyzes, works in conjunction with Planning and Operations Teams, and makes recommendations for improvements to inventory analysis, planning software tools and procurement practices and procedures.
• Provides analysis and support to sourcing/vendor evaluation and qualification decisions.
• Manages suppliers and commodities to insure quality product, on time deliveries and lowest cost. Works with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely communication on delivery dates and order quantities. Must work with suppliers on managing their supply chain to reduce lead-time, carrying cost, and improve inventory turns.
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase order and report any missing products.
• Responsible for accurate information on delivery dates. Changes to schedule or forecast will require the Inventory Planning & Procurement Specialist to move in, move out, or cancel purchase orders. This must be followed through with changes being documented in Discovery.
• Follow up, expedite, and maintain all of the purchase orders. Requisitioned and suggested order requirements are the responsibility of the Inventory Planning & Procurement Specialist to process into purchase orders.
• Other duties specified by supervisor as required.
• Personally observes safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promotes safety process and reports any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Job Description
The Manager, Inventory Planning & Replenishment is responsible for both the planning and execution of inventory for a group of product categories. Develops and leads a team of Replenishment Specialist and Planning Analysts to ensure that planning and replenishment strategies are aligned. Responsible for delivering desired in-stock levels while hitting financial objectives. The Inventory Planning Manager sets the strategic goals for their team and holds their team accountable to delivering against those goals. Partners cross functionally with merchants, vendors, transportation and distribution to ensure inventory strategies and objectives are met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Responsible for leading and developing a team that implement and maintain item/location level inventory plans for a group of product categories that support financial objectives
- Analyzes business performance, develops insights and translates into strategies to drive sales and inventory productivity
- Leads team through monthly forecasting cycle
- Monitor inventory pipeline, anticipate and proactively communicate issues, and develop mitigation plans for any pipeline gaps
- Drive inventory and replenishment strategies to support assigned categories including resets, promotions, events, seasonal /entry and exit, etc.
- Subject matter expert in planning / replenishment systems and thus utilize system capabilities to drive inventory to right location in the right quantity to support sales while ensuring target in-stock levels are achieved
- Translates corporate and division goals/objectives into planning and replenishment strategies
- Lead replenishment team to ensure proper execution of inventory plans while ensuring desired in stock levels are achieved.
- Hires, retains and accelerates talent within the organization
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelors Degree is required or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 5+ years experience in demand, merchandise planning, replenishment or a related field

As a Senior Inventory Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that goods are readily available to meet customer demand through effective inventory management across our distribution center network. **Key Responsibilities:**
Deliver Operational Excellence and Increase Product Availability:
+ Develop forecasts to align inventory with future product demands based on analytical, marketing, and sales data.
+ Communicate weekly stock alerts (low stock and stock-out situations) to local departments.
+ Control and analyze defined KPIs for operational processes.
+ Manage operational issues with suppliers.
+ Monitor and analyze stock cover levels in the MDCs and FDCs, identifying areas for improvement and proposing appropriate measures.
+ Collaborate closely with local departments on events (limited editions, new product launches, product discontinuations, promotions, or special events), making necessary adjustments to the distribution center's supply portfolio and stock levels.
Inventory Management:
+ Balance the need for product availability with the goal of minimizing inventory costs to ensure optimal stock levels of the right materials in the right locations.
+ Collaborate with the Demand and Supply Planning (DSP) team in developing assortment plans.
+ Review stock levels across the entire network of distribution centers to proactively identify solutions for any deviations.
+ Identify key issues related to volume variance that may impact supply and communicate these to planners by challenging existing logistics and supply planning processes.
+ Monitor the evolution of requirements.
+ Track all low stock, end-of-life, and limited edition SKUs in the network, ensuring that all low stock SKUs are available to meet customer demands while mitigating risks associated with bad goods.
Develop a Continuous Excellence Mindset Across the Function:
+ Provide relevant predefined input for all key meetings (e.g., Monthly Forecast Review, weekly and monthly operational meetings).
+ Control and analyze defined KPIs for operational processes.
+ Maintain a knowledge base of the constraints influencing inter-market supply operations.
+ Develop ad-hoc reports to facilitate further analysis.
Project Management & Analytical Reporting:
+ Lead, develop action plans, and organize the conclusion of delegated projects.
+ Develop and monitor KPIs related to transfers, stock cover reports, and expiry risk.
+ Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to assist in the development of demand forecasts.
+ Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes, making recommendations to management for process improvements.
+ Control budget costs related to the distribution of goods between main distribution and forwarding distribution, influencing planners to adjust production and dispatch plans for optimal spread and cost reduction.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Distribution Center Efficiency Continuity:
+ Ensure the implementation of operational procedures in supply chain-related areas, with a focus on interconnection with demand planning and supply planning.
+ Control and analyze defined KPIs for boutique stock control and related operational processes.
+ Support the opening of new boutiques and the phase-in/phase-out of products in all supply chain matters.
+ Assist in implementing new services for consumers from the perspective of Nespresso's boutiques.
+ Create and adapt all supply chain processes and procedures in partnership with the logistics operator to ensure high levels of customer service.
**Experience & Education Requirements** **:**
+ Education:
+ Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
+ Experience:
+ 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain is required, preferably in a Planner role.
+ Experience in inventory management and forecasting is essential.
+ Familiarity with ERP and SAP systems is preferred.
+ Experience in a retail or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
+ Experience with production planning and MRP is preferred.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Advanced Excel skills are required; proficiency in Cognos or SQL is preferred.
+ Strong technical proficiency in Power BI.
