Job Purpose

HALO Ops Engineer is a critical position for the HALO Wind Tunnel, this person will be responsible to  execute wind tunnel data acquisition and analysis, facility health monitoring, and quality process development, with the assistance of more senior engineers.  Given the unique conditions of wind tunnel, including the small number of tunnels in the world, tight constraints and non-automotive 3rd party customers, this position will require a highly technical skill set.  All of these are necessary to Develop HALO into highly efficient, world class test facility.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with planning and scheduling of the following: Operations tools/equipment/consumables purchases, Equipment upgrades, and Process upgrades.
  • Working with Operations Leadership, troubleshoot and isolate problems with aerodynamic and aeroacoustics test performance or data quality.  Assist with the Creation and proposal of technical solutions to any problems found.
  • Works with customers and staff to understand test requirements and plans activities necessary to deliver the required test conditions.
  • Assist with investigations of data collection equipment capabilities and analysis   methodologies utilizing systems integration strategies.
  • Assist with the preparation of moderately complex facility and test operation procedures, coordination of facility procedure and work instructions training, under the guidance of more senior engineers.
  • Facilities Support:  When available, assist HALO Facilities Team in order to gain an overall understanding of how the tunnel works to improve associate knowledge for the required tasks above.
     

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerodynamic, or Related Engineering
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, Co-op experience preferred
  • Experience with MTS Rolling Road Systems, Siemens Acoustic Test System, Cosworth Data Acquisition Systems
     

Working Conditions

  • Normal physical requirements (lift up to 50lbs), mobility in and around operating equipment, work with general hand tools and required PPE, ability to work overtime as needed to complete tasks and meet deadlines

Job Purpose

Develop the North America Quality Management System (QMS) including identification/resolution of business practice concerns, assuring compliance to ISO9001, and assuring compliance to government Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements. 
 
Key Accountabilities

  • As a regional function, develop, maintain, and assure adherence to the North American Quality Management System (QMS) through leadership of the Regional Quality Standardization committee.
  • Identify and resolve issues to improve business practices involving QMS compliance by leading working groups with QMS representatives and subject matter experts.
  • Integrate requirements for improvements from internal sources such as ISO9001 compliance audits, risk assessments, and regular PDCA, as well as external sources such as normal warranty issues, recalls, government audits and external ISO9001 compliance audits.
  • Strategically lead the development of solutions through guided expert recommendations to plant and business unit QMS representatives while building horizontal consensus across all HDMA locations for consistent application. 
  • Build consensus with all levels of management in the North American factories and business units to determine how to change business operations to improve quality.
  • Good understanding of Global Honda Quality Standards (GHQS) and how they apply to North America.
  • Develop clear QMS supplements, standards and procedures.
  • Compliance with ISO9001
  • Lead auditor for ISO9001 internal audits and support external audits.  
  • Negotiate with auditors on technical merits of C/M ideas.
  • Create analysis reports.
  • Lead and direct other departments to investigate/resolve non-conformities.
  • Review and confirm effective countermeasures for audit results.
  • Compliance with Government Regulation 
  • Develop control plans to assure compliance to government Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements for countries requiring CoP or applying UN regulations (EU, China, Russia, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia, etc.).
  • Collaborate with factory Assistant Chief Inspecting Engineers (ACIE’s) to implement control plans and prepare for government audits.  
  • Lead government audits to allow sale of our products in countries requiring CoP.
  • Develop countermeasures to identified Gov't Regulation conformity concerns using Honda problem solving methods.
  • Regional System Owner / Administration
  • Administer and maintain systems required to manage the QMS, audit plans, non-conformities, training, and records (IntellaQuest: ISOQuest, DocuQuest, PeopleQuest, RecordQuest, AuditQuest, etc.).
  • Plan and implement improvements with suppliers and Honda IT.

 
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or equivalent and strongly-related experience

Job Purpose: 

The role of this position will be to lead the management of Equipment Production data inside the Production Engineering Business Unit (PEBU). The data will consist of 2D CAD data, 3D CAD data and supporting documentation like Bill of Material’s (BOM) and technical drawings. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Knowledge of automobile production categories and processes: Weld, Paint and Assembly
  • 8+ years of experience designing tooling and machines for automated equipment
  • Experience with CAD/PLM development or administration experience

What You Need To Know:

As an IRL Technologist at the Red Cross you will perform basic and advanced donor and patient tests, and interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. You will resolve compatibility problems; provide intermediate reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult and communicate with staff at other medical facilities, to resolve complex serologic problems and provide special units to transfusion recipients.
  • Manage receipt, coordination, shipment and transport of patient and donor blood samples. Assist in daily workflow of patient and donor work. Document supply and equipment problems.
  • Manage reagent inventory including ordering, receiving, inspecting and preparing reagents. Perform and interpret basic and complex donor and/or patient testing procedures and complete required quality control, as appropriate to state and federal regulations.
  • Recognize testing irregularities, identify the cause, determine the solution and resolve the problem. Assist Technologist I and II in problem resolution. Maintain, edit and review computer and manual records to assure accurate record keeping. Maintain accurate, legible and complete records.
  • Also perform maintenance, repair and validation of laboratory equipment and software maintenance. Assume lead responsibilities such as record review and training. Assist in concern management.

Standard Schedule: 9a-5p, occasional float to 7a-3p

Pay Information: $31-41/hr

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry with MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
  • Licensure if required by state.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Good written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Leadership skills. Ability to work on a team.

Physical Requirements: Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
