**Summary**
The **Project Engineer** supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the Project Manager supporting project administration on multiple small projects, or one medium to large-size projects. This position will be based out of our OGC hub in Houston, TX with significant on-site/project responsibilities. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Construction Project Engineer to support field operations and project management on heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dirt work, utility installation, and paving, and will play a key role in coordinating technical activities, managing documentation, and ensuring project milestones are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports for constructability
- Assist with earthwork and utility quantity takeoffs using AGTEK or similar software
- Coordinate survey layout and control with field crews
- Track daily production for excavation, trenching, pipe installation, and paving activities
- Maintain redline drawings and compile as-built documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and field directives using Procore or HCSS HeavyJob

OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to be an integral part of TRCs Security and Emergency Management practice and a trusted member of a team responsible for supporting our government and commercial sector clients. In this role you will participate in assessing, recommending, designing, and improving physical security measures at critical infrastructure facilities nationally. The successful candidate will build upon a solid engineering and technical foundation and apply this knowledge in a physical security setting to address various types of vulnerabilities. The ability to work as part of a coordinated, diverse team is critical.
All locations within the lower 48 states will be considered.
Responsibilities- Participate in security assessments and develop security standards/specifications, master plans, and similar documents in collaboration with other team members and clients
- Have a working knowledge of electrical design concepts and standards.
- Develop security designs and prepare construction documentation, such as drawings and specifications for electronic security systems (e.g., video, access control, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Work with the various law enforcement and regulatory agencies as required
- Author reports, technical memos, and other deliverables
- Interact with a diverse set of clients including government agency personnel, public officials, business, and nonprofit staff
- Travel throughout the U.S. (travel estimated at 10-25% of the year)
- Participate in marketing TRC's services to clients and responses to RFQ/RFPs
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering or systems design (or similar) with professional registration (PE, NICET, etc.)
