**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Construction Engineer to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Administer a Construction Quality Management Program (CQMP) on assigned projects. Provide advice, solutions, and assistance to the Construction Manager on technical matters requiring knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods.
+ Review Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and Safety plans for completeness and compliance with the terms of the construction contract. Provide review comments together with recommendations for improvements. Continually monitor contractor execution of both the CQC and Safety programs, providing corrective information as necessary.
+ Inspect construction work on a recurring basis to assure that the work complies with the construction contract documents. Assist the Construction Manager and Quality Assurance Manager in preparing Contract Construction Compliance Notices (CCCNs) in cases where workmanship and/or material are not in compliance with the construction contract documents or ongoing work is liable to result in unsatisfactory construction.
+ Assist with processing contractor submittals and requests for information including progress schedules, utility outage requests, shop drawings and O&M manuals for accuracy and compliance with the terms of the contract.
+ Assist with the review of contractor requests for payment by comparing the monthly invoice to the field pay estimate worksheet and most recent progress schedule.
+ Coordinating and monitoring all utility work with various agencies including the Contractor to enhance the completion of the project.
+ Prepare and process construction contract "closing-out" documents.
+ Assist in document management and project controls support, including maintaining electronic document control systems and project files/documentation.
+ Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture with 4 Years of relevant experience in construction.
+ Valid US Driver's License.
+ Due to the nature of the project, US citizenship is required.

**Job Description**
AECOM is now hiring a **Construction Engineer** position that resides within a construction safety and quality management support cell for numerous large or multiple smaller, classified projects out of our our Arlington, VA office. The support cell consists of skilled professionals experienced in multiple facets of the construction trade who can effectively interact with contractor superintendents, quality control managers, commissioning specialists, subcontractors and client management to ensure work-in-place meets the requirements of the contract.
**The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:**

(c) Review Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and Safety plans for completeness and compliance with terms of the construction contract. Provide review comments together with recommendations for improvements. Continually monitor contractor execution of both the CQC and Safety programs, providing corrective information as necessary.
(d) Inspect construction work on a recurring basis to assure that the work is in compliance with the construction contract documents. (i) Assist in conducting pre-final inspections and preparation of a detailed punch list of items which do not comply with the construction contract or are incomplete. Verify correction of discrepancies in conjunction with contractor pay application review.
(j) Assist in document management and project controls support, including the receipt, tracking, distribution, and destruction of both classified and unclassified media.

**Job Description:**
Parsons' Guam team is now hiring for a **Construction Engineer** to support work on our Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded roadway and bridge projects on the island of Guam. These projects consist of overseeing the construction management company or acting as the construction manager on smaller construction projects for the Government of Guam, Department of Public Works (DPW).
For this role, you must be located in Guam or be willing to relocate to the Island.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Manages and oversees assigned construction contracts to ensure DPW contractors, Construction Management (CM) firms and service providers are complying with DPW policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure that the DPW road construction program remains compliant with DPW and FHWA policies and requirements.
+ Prepares and assists with recommendations to DPW on CM firm selection and provides technical guidance on the reasonableness of level of effort estimates with respect to Not-to-Exceed (NTE) price negotiations for CM firms.
+ Reviews and finalizes correspondence initiated by CM firms to be signed by the DPW Director and makes recommendations for signature.
+ Develops construction Contract Change Orders (CCO) for projects that PTG performs construction management on and reviews CCOs that are developed by CM firms and makes recommendations for signature.
+ Compiles and presents the need for Contingent Sum Work (Force Account) that are identified by CM firms and makes recommendations for the work to be authorized by the DPW Director.
+ Reviews and prepares progress payments for construction invoices for projects that PTG performs construction management on.
+ Reviews invoices from CM firms and contractors that PTG performs construction management and makes recommendations to the PMT Construction Manager on progress payments to the contractor.
+ Performs CM oversight (for CMs acting as the PMT Resident Engineer) on selected construction projects acting in an advisory role to the CM firms.
+ Assists the PMT Construction Manager with constructability reviews on design projects and provides review comments for the PMT Design Manager.
**What Required Skills/Experience You'll Bring:**
+ 4-year degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 5 to 8 years of experience in field construction is required.
+ Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.
+ Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the potential for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
**What Desired Skills/Experience You'll Bring:**
+ Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects is preferred.
+ Previous experience with Roadway and Bridge projects is strongly preferred.

WSP is seeking Construction Engineers for the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion Project to oversee construction activities on this high profile multi-billion dollar project, which is the largest project in VDOT history. We are seeking multiple positions with experience in construction management of heavy civil, bridge, roadway, ITS, and building structures.
**Your Impact**
Job Description:
Responsible for construction oversight of your specific discipline, inspections, reviews, and audits of the construction work. Tasks may include:
+ Supports the Resident Engineer in managing oversight of construction activities for compliance
+ Knowledgeable of plans/specifications, shop drawings, design changes, work plans, and RFIs
+ Effectively communicate and coordinate with Contractor and QA/QC representatives
+ Reviews and updates summaries and reports, and reviews inspection reports for completeness
+ Track and document quality, construction, and schedule issues and assist with issues resolution
+ Track and document contract quantities, changes, and delays and QAQC processes
+ Provides technical assistance to inspectors and participates in Hold Point inspections
+ Focus on quality, construction, and production issues at multiple locations
+ Interact with contractors and clients in a confident and professional manner
**Who You Are**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Four-year College degree or equivalent experience.
+ EIT certification required. PE preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant post education experience in construction and inspection oversight, and oversight of construction QAQC processes related to your specific discipline
+ Knowledge of construction means, methods, techniques, and inspection practices
+ Preferred professional licensure/certification(s) such as ACI, NICET, CCM, and VDOT certifications
+ Valid state driver's license
+ Demonstrated experience in similar roles on complex infrastructure projects using the design-build delivery method
+ Demonstrated practical experience in construction aspects of the development and delivery on complex large-scale projects
Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
This role is subject to a client-mandated background check and finger printing.
