In this role, you will **perform Field Engineering assignments while overseeing and developing plans, schedules, contracts, procedures and construction methods.**

**Responsibilities:**
+ Performs difficult and very complex field assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
+ Maintains first level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
+ Supervises the construction work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction disciplines, as well as survey personnel.
+ Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
+ Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
+ Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
+ Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
+ Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
+ Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current re vision level and correct technical execution of the work.
+ Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
+ Monitors construction schedules and progress.
+ Provides schedule and progress appraisal report to the Construction Manager.
+ Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
+ Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
+ Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
+ Initiates and maintains records, back charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
+ Interfaces with the client and upper-level management.
+ Provides technical guidance to lower level field engineering personnel.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
+ The successful candidate is also responsible for reviewing the performance of subcontractors to assure contract compliance, the application of accepted construction technology and standards, and the acceptable standardization of materials and supplies.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field, or equivalent construction related work experience, as well as 8+ years of experience in field construction is required
+ Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices
+ Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project
**Preferred Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred
+ Major water utility experience

- Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site.
- Act as Company representative to our existing customers.
- Provide management of existing projects including creating submittals, workplans, all reporting, responsibility for project P&Ls and supporting payroll certification documents.
- Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials
- Interface with General Foreman to insure safe, efficient & effective adherence to the job workplan and scope
- Work to develop estimates through review of drawings, specifications, site visits, and subcontractor reviews and scope development meetings.
- Accomplishes construction objectives by scheduling, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meets construction operational standards by development of plans and schedules.
- Meets construction financial standards by providing budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Prepares construction projects by verifying estimates, project drawings, and specifications; establishing and disseminating schedules; awarding contracts; specifying materials and supplies.
- Completes construction projects by directing construction requirements; comparing construction results to plans; resolving problems.
- Work well with PM's and assist on current projects with all related materials and equipment orders.
- Provides construction progress reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction and budget data and trends.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding and enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years of verifiable field experience (combination of field and office acceptable)
- Complete knowledge of current electrical codes, standards and practices
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Complete knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and OSHA standards and practices
- Proven computer proficiency accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications (proficient in MS Office, Google applications, project management software such as ESub and Procore, Adobe, and ability to learn and operate new software. Experience with Bluebeam a plus.)
