As a Health Services Supervisor at Universal Studios Hollywood, you will be an integral part of the team dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of our guests, team members and vendor partners. Your role, alongside the other team supervisor and manager, is to lead our team of nurses, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. They are responsible for delivering exceptional guest service through compassionate and prompt first aid care to our guests, as well as preventive and post-injury occupational health care to our team members. You will also be involved in supporting occupational health initiatives and collaborating with various departments to maintain a safe work environment and drive continuous process improvement for delivery of health services to the guests and Team Members at Universal Studios Hollywood. As the Supervisor, you will also play a key role in emergency situations, responding to and supporting your team in the field and collaborating with other internal and external business partners in incident response coordination and recovery after emergency incidents.
Responsibilities:
+ Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to a team of medical professionals who deliver prompt and effective first aid and medical care to guests and team members of the theme park and entertainment complex.
+ Support Occupational Health Services: Assist EHS in the implementation and management of occupational health programs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
+ Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with Park Operations, Security, Human Resources, and a variety of other departments to ensure seamless health services integration.
+ Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response activities, coordinating with business partners and external agency response organizations following established protocols.
+ Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records, incident reports, and other documentation. Track and report health services statistics to management using management systems and tools for record-keeping and reporting. Conduct regular reviews of records for accuracy, identify gaps, and develop and implement processes for continuous improvement.
+ Training and Development: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in health services.
+ Policy & Procedure Development: Assist with developing, implementing, and reviewing protocols, SOPs, and health policies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Stay updated on regulatory changes and translate them into practical updates to department operations.
+ Technology & Systems Support: Train team members on health-related software and platforms used for case management, reporting, and scheduling. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance service delivery.
+ Guest and Team Member Support: Address and resolve health-related or operational concerns from guests and team members, providing excellent internal and external guest service and support.
+ Safety and Compliance: Ensure all health services' operations comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Participate in the safety committee.
+ Budget Management: Support the creation and management of labor and non-labor budgets for the health services department. Partner with the Labor Support team on scheduling and payroll processes.
+ Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide feedback and corrective actions as needed.
+ Teamwork and Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the Health Services Team and with business partners across the organization. Encourage open communication and cooperation to achieve common goals.
Qualifications/Certifications:
+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a health services or medical role, preferably in a team leadership or operations management capacity.
+ Current certification in first aid, CPR, AED.
+ Additional certifications such as RN, LVN, Paramedic, or EMT are preferred.

DEFINITION:
Plans, directs, and supervises the work of the Board Relations unit in the Department of Health Services, Administration.
- Plans, directs, supervises and coordinates the work of the Board Relations unit.
- Serves as the primary departmental Board liaison for the investigation and response to inquiries and complaints of a controversial nature having potential for media coverage and community concern.
- Refers requests for information and constituent complaints from Board Offices to the appropriate division and ensures a timely, coordinated response.
- Directs and oversees committees on health program initiatives and Board-related matters by determining, in collaboration with executive level staff, discussion topics and agenda items relating to evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and implementation of changes to meet needs and priorities.
- Oversees the department's Board-related assignments and activities, including the preparation of Board memos, and monitors the follow-up activities on all motions by the Board of Supervisors concerning departmental operations.
- Advises executive level staff and administrators regarding the more sensitive Board-related matters, facilitates communication and follow up on required actions, and provides alerts to any critical issues, potential problems or sensitive matters.
- Collaborates with the Contracts and Grants division to manage and track the number of departmental contracts requiring the Board of Supervisor's review and approval.
- Oversees the review and tracking of department-wide prioritized projects and Board assignments through databases, status reports, and projected timelines for submission to executive staff for review.
- Develops new or modified policies and procedures for completion of and response to Board assignments and inquiries to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develops and maintains liaisons with representatives from other governmental jurisdictions and agencies to exchange information.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree* in Business or Public Administration, Health Administration, Social Science, or closely related field -AND- Four (4) years of experience in a highly responsible administrative or staff capacity** analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of organizational programs or operations, of which two (2) years must have been at the level of a Staff Analyst, Health*** or higher.
LICENSE:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS II – Light:

Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Behavioral Health Therapist and make a difference in the community. With guidance and direction from the Director of Behavioral Health and Associate Director of Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Therapist will provide therapy to patients who are or have experienced intimate partner violence, as well as crisis triage evaluation of patients during medical visits (On Call warm handoffs). Therapy includes providing clinical interventions using short term treatment with individuals, teens, families and groups, as well as crisis intervention and assessment at the Venice Family Clinic. There may be an opportunity to supervise graduate student(s). This role works closely with medical staff, case management staff, as well as community partners. This role will be comprehensive, serving patients of all ages and the On Call work may include triage for patients who are unhoused, who have severe mental health challenges and/or who are struggling with substance use. The on call model of behavioral health triage is interwoven into the medical visits of patients and allows patient access to Behavioral Health support during their medical visit. Ongoing psychotherapy will be a hybrid model of telehealth and in person.
