Responsibilities:
  • Lead research initiatives focused on soil health, nutrient cycling, and soil carbon dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in soil chemistry, physics, and biology.
  • Proven experience in experimental design, data analysis (e.g., R, SAS), and statistical modeling.
  • Familiarity with soil sampling techniques, laboratory analysis, and interpretation of results.

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Designer at LJA Land Development , you will be responsible for coordinating the design work for a project by applying engineering fundamentals under the direct supervision of the Project manager.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

Our client owns its own grading company and they rent some homes to cover overhead. Last year they had 266 closing and in 2020 they are anticipating 425 closings and .


We are seeking an experience Land Development to join their team!


We are seeking an even tempered, Land Development Manager who knows how to do takeoffs, hold meetings and interested in growing professionally and personally inside a company.


We are seeking 5+ years' experience. You will be overseeing day-to -day development activities, such as water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage.

This role will also coordinate contractors and meet with inspectors on site. In the office you will review and approve invoices, help with bidding, estimating, and budget preparation.

We are looking at a salary range of $100+/-, but for a very experienced we person could go a little higher.


The ideal candidate will be able to handle 300 lots at a time. They build currently in Cobb, Gwinnett and Forsyth with some development in Mableton & Douglasville.

Our client is seeking a Land Development Engineer (site civil) with 2-15 years of relevant experience in the land development area. This person should have a strong background in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. Duties usually include the following:

· Designs and develops plans and drawings, which may include the development of preliminary layout and/or final drawings on residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

· Role will include various aspects of land/site development including, site feasibility and conceptual planning, storm water management, grading and drainage design, utility design, erosion and sediment control, field investigations, and more.

· Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.

· Coordinates with other disciplines as required.

· Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Land Development Engineer to lead technical design projects for a dynamic civil engineering team. This role is ideal for a mid-senior professional with expertise in site planning, stormwater management, and permitting for commercial, institutional, and K-12 projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design teams in preparing drawings, calculations, and permit applications.
  • Manage zoning compliance, site plans, and agency approvals .
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and developers on interdisciplinary projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Licensure: PE license (preferred) or on track to obtain.
  • Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering , including 3+ years in land development design .
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and Microsoft 365
    • Expertise in stormwater management, utility design, and permitting
    • K-12/school design experience (a plus)
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, teamwork, and project management.
