  • Research and analyze resource materials, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations relevant to the acquisition process.
  • Monitor system tests, review test results, and identify project issues, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management, acquisition processes, or related fields.
  • Professional acquisition certification, such as FAC-C or DAWIA Level III certification, is desired.
  • At least 24 semester hours of coursework in areas such as accounting, law, business finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organizational management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in the acquisition domain.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices related to acquisition processes.

The Project Lead will work under the supervision of an Program Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for and expected to: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives ,deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Lead project teams in executing tasks, managing dependencies, and resolving issues to ensure successful project completion within budget and schedule constraints. Utilize project management methodologies and tools to monitor progress, track milestones, and mitigate risks effectively. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and communication channels to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals. Work closely with technical teams, including developers, engineers, and architects, to design, develop, and implement technology solutions aligned with DC Government's strategic objectives. Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, to optimize efficiency and maximize project outcomes. Establish quality assurance processes and metrics to assess the performance, reliability, and usability of technology solutions deployed by the DC Government. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations governing technology projects and government operations. Display a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to assist fellow team members; and Display extremely strong critical thinking skills.
