Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete technical scope for the supply of new packaged rotating equipment for both onshore and offshore projects, including gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and extended plant components such as coolers, scrubbers, and anti-surge valves.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to address and resolve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate global technical project teams consisting of multidisciplinary engineers, designers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure the timely release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation while managing the engineering schedule.
  • Monitor and manage the engineering budget effectively.
  • Ensure all technical contract requirements are met on assigned projects, including certifications and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Provide engineering support throughout all project phases, including proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operation.
  • Guide the team in making detailed design decisions that meet contract requirements, focusing on overall system control philosophies and main equipment specifications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contract requirements and specifications to translate them into clear deliverables for the project team.
  • Regularly report to the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization, now or in the future.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Proven experience in the design, packaging, or operation of rotating equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a small team, providing clear general direction to others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with gas turbines' design, packaging, or operation.
  • Proficiency with Engineering/PLM software such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Pivot Tables, VBA, or other programming .
  • Familiarity with SAP.

ROLE :

The Lead Project Engineer has oversight of all engineering and engineering-related commercial aspects during the delivery of a project or tender. You will lead the implementation of project engineering plans, processes, support programmatic MOS, support forecasting & capacity analysis related to delivery requirements. You will also be working under moderate supervision of a Sr. Program Manager to execute within scope, on-schedule, and meeting cost targets.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Understanding the customer specification requirements and ensuring their integration into the Mechanical Flow Diagram (MFD)
+ Manage the development of the detailed design for new and existing products lines
+ Hold weekly meetings with the discipline engineering team members/ detail designer/ fabricator to address project development status and solve challenging technical requirements and problems
+ Coordinate equipment procurement activities (modules, vessels, exchanges, rotating, instrumentation, and miscellaneous equipment)
+ Manage the fabrication process and partner with the fabricator to deliver equipment that exceeds customer's expectations
+ Manage technical interface with customers, detail designer, fabricator (s), and internal discipline team
+ Obtaining necessary documentation (UOP & customer specifications) for preparing equipment purchase requisitions.
+ Coordinating review of vendor equipment drawings and specifications for conformance to UOP requirements
+ Managing the project quality plans and checklists
+ Coordinating and attending customer factory acceptance testing at vendor facilities.
+ Providing support to Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and other relevant UOP departments involved in the execution of assigned projects.
+ Participating in infrastructure work to create/revise departmental standards, specifications, and procedures.
+ Identifying opportunities for continuous work process and productivity improvements on project activities
+ Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members
+ Provide sales support for project opportunities being pursued. Both CONUS and International Travel to customer and supplier sites - 30-40% annually in 1 to 2 weeks' durations
+ Strategizing and working with the UOP Sales team to market UOP equipment for aftermarket purchases (Burners, Flares, and Thermal Oxidizers)
+ Call and visit existing and new customers to determine the needs for replacing plant equipment and purchasing new equipment and / or cross selling equipment within all UOP product lines
+ Communicate with plant operators at existing sites to determine equipment replacement and new purchase
+ Increase customer retention by providing exceptional customer service and increase trust in UOP technologies
+ Perform weekly / bi-weekly calls with clients to determine needs and schedules
+ Set up monthly and quarterly visits with clients to determine their yearly planning and shutdown / turnaround timing
+ Ability to manage and perform quick turnaround for clients based on their needs

**The Opportunity:**
CACI is looking for experienced lead human spaceflight software engineers to provide project leadership and technical expertise in embedded software systems to support development of human-rated space vehicle avionics and subsystem software. The individual will work with current and future space flight projects at NASA Johnson Space Center including Lunar Gateway, Human Landing System (Lunar Lander), next generation space suits, and the Orion spacecraft. This work will include prototyping, requirements definition, design, development, test and verification, integration and certification of embedded software.
This position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have leadership experience and strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise, and be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner.
