Weichert Workforce Mobility is hiring an Accountant II in Parsippany, NJ. This is a hybrid position requiring one day in the office most weeks. The Accountant II, under general supervision, is responsible for performing general and non-routine accounting tasks requiring a thorough understanding of accounting principles. The position provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and calculating month and quarterly client rebates. The Accountant II also assists with month-end closings and the preparation of various financial reports.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Participates in the completion of month-end closings on a timely basis, including communicating with other areas whose input is needed for month-end close.
  2. Works with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of the month-end close and validity of the amounts.
  3. Prepares and analyzes consolidated reporting at all levels of the organization on actuals, budgets, forecasts, and prior fiscal year.
  4. Manages, in partnership with the companys business unit leaders, operating expense budgeting, forecasting, and spending targets.
  5. Analyzes actual operating results and identifies key financial and operating issues to be addressed; quantifies actual results versus budgets and forecasts.
  6. Conducts thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy.
  7. Assists in the creation and input of various upload files, as needed.
  8. Serves as a back-up for various areas within the Shared Service Department.
  9. Works on special projects for the US Controller and VP of Finance as assigned.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Bachelors degree in Accounting strongly preferred
  3. Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
  4. Two (2) to four (4) years of applicable accounting experience
  5. Experience using user-based accounting and financial systems preferred
  6. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Projects entail an array of facility and infrastructure categories including offices, service centers, data centers, warehouses, emergency operating facilities, and transmission dispatch and regional dispatch facilities;
  • Facilitate and manage capex project activities on behalf of operating companies and other business units;

  • Perform detailed facility assessment analysis and input into FirstEnergy's facility database for future project planning;

  • Engage and coordinate all project stakeholders including consultants, contractors and internal resources. Examples are, but not limited to, architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal IT and security resources.
  • This also includes monitoring and/or reporting contractor resource levels;
  • Take responsibility for the quality assurance and control of assigned projects, including identification of quality requirements, responsibility for agreed upon quality assurance program and if required, oversee the review and approval process for contractor provided procedures;
  • Identify all project requirements, develop performance specifications, establish and manage construction budgets and schedules;
  • Develop and maintain corporate design standards;
  • Prepare and present project status reports for management. Reports entail recurring, standard reports and ad hoc reports that address status of scope, budget and schedule that identify risks and issues, and outlines mitigation strategies;
  • Communicate project goals, priorities and decisions to the Leadership Team;
  • Partner with operating companies and other business units from project conception and planning through construction and turnover.

This role plays a vital part in enhancing healthcare delivery within our ambulatory care environment by managing requirements, analyzing workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality care at St. Joseph's Health through the successful implementation of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare operations, particularly in ambulatory settings, and a solid understanding of healthcare information systems.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in clinical operations (preferred), healthcare IT, or performing business analysis.
  • Experience working with or supporting electronic health records systems such as Oracle Health Millenium (preferred) or Epic or other healthcare related applications.
  • Understanding of practice management workflows such as patient scheduling and access, front desk workflows and revenue cycle, clinical workflows and encounter management, and care coordination and follow-up.
  • Working knowledge of basic project management principles preferred.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc." The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

About the Team

St. Joseph's University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women's health, imaging and pediatrics.
