A new Consultant Engineer will learn risk engineering and consulting skills from experienced mentors and a community-based work culture for the first 12 months, including a combination of field, self-study, classroom and mock factory training. You will gradually begin assessing risks at larger, more complex properties by visiting client facilities and performing evaluations that accurately quantify foreseeable physical and human element exposures while working with client's management team. Responsibilities include:
- Perform hands-on site assessments of the physical property by touring the facility interior, roofs and exterior.
- Evaluate site water supplies and fire protection, dust hazards, electrical systems, chemical storage and processing, structural designs, construction materials and site maintenance and emergency response programs.
- Ensure FM Engineering Standards are followed and, as necessary, communicate the appropriate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to clients
- Support and assist clients as they implement solutions to mitigate the identified risks
- Working from a home office and travel to clients' facilities daily (overnight travel is expected 3-5 nights per month, or around 15-25%)
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (various specialties considered)
- Strong verbal and written English communications skills
- Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision
- Solid technical aptitude including diverse knowledge of engineering principles
- Valid driver's license
- Physically able to climb a ladder, mount a roof, lift 25 lbs, comfortable in confined spaces and walk 2-3 miles per day.

+ Design, develop, and test Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software for various control systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software and interface requirements to deliver software solutions.
+ Provide guidance and participate with junior engineers and technical staff in the assembly of control systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated. Manage the installation process in production, coordinating with other teams to ensure seamless setup.
+ Design, develop, and implement control systems for moderate complexity projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and improvements.
+ Participate in project planning and scheduling to ensure timely completion of milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met. Present project updates and progress reports to project stakeholders and management.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (EE, ECE desired) or equivalent experience and education.
+ Minimum of two years of experience in relevant field.
+ Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Wonderware, Ignition).
+ Proficiency in a CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Ability to create detailed electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLC and HMI development
+ Electrical schematic development with EPLAN ECAD platform

The Custom Quality Analyst II is responsible for evaluating products in support of all manufacturing areas at Integrated DNA Technologies in a Technologies in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO13485 requirements. This evaluation involves performing in-process and final QC testing to determine the pass/fail status of products using a wide variety of molecular biology methods and specialized equipment.
This position reports to the Manager of CQC, is part of the Custom QC department located in Coralville, IA, and is an on-site role.
Working Hours: Sunday-Wednesday 1PM - 12AM
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Perform and analyze a variety of QC tests according to Standard Operating Procedures and accurately document results via established product specifications.
+ Perform data entry and peer review for accuracy in accordance with lab procedures.
+ Perform maintenance and calibration on a variety of specialized equipment and assist in troubleshooting as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in a science related field required. (Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or related life science field preferred); Alternatively, an Associate's degree or equivalent with 2 years of IDT experience.
+ 2 years applicable lab experience.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ PCR and qPCR
+ Next Generation Sequencing
+ Enzymatics
