Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for experienced Support Associates to support the Chicago Passport Agency. The ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, have experience in working with customers in a front facing capacity, and have the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US Citizenship is required. The selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 45lbs. This position may require long hours of standing. As a result, the selected candidate will be expected to be able to stand and walk around the worksite for the entirety of their shift.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Operate various equipment for high-speed scanning, mail out, and metering of mail.
• Prepare and mail envelopes with correct passport and corresponding supporting documents.
• Box and archive files for storage purposes.
• Interface with passport applicants at Agency/Center Information and Will-Call counters:
o At the Information Station, ensure appointment is scheduled;
o Review passport application, photograph, identification and supporting documentation for completeness prior to adjudication;
o Ensure the application and documents comply with Passport requirements, photograph meets Passport standards, and customer is provided fee information.
• Prior to distributing to applicants, print and review passport books for accuracy and quality.
• Process refund/reimbursement requests.
• Generate a credit card payment from the applicant and distribute completed batches to the Cashier's Office. Verify all completed transactions and run designated reports.
• Assist with Acceptance Agent training: prepare training materials, conduct "meet-and- greets," set-up training sessions, conduct office tours, etc.
• Assist CSM in maintaining and cataloging electronic records of passport acceptance facilities.
• Contact applicants to request necessary documents.
• Resolve undeliverable mail items by contacting the customer and appropriately documenting all actions taken in a SharePoint application.
• Per the guidance of DOS Passport Specialists, generate correspondence to resolve application discrepancies, including: Return to Sender (RTS), Rewrites and Re-issues, and re-batch into the system.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Follow a number of specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file, simple posting to individual accounts, opening mail, running mail through metering machines, and calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts
• HS diploma or GED
• Three years of general office experience
• Two years of experience utilizing a variety of office software, specifically Microsoft Office.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work in one place and traverse the office on a continuing basis
• Must maintain constant awareness of all aspects of internal and external security
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship and an ability to obtain an MRPT clearance is required.

Hourly Rate: $18.89/hour

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology.

  • Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
  • Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases including layout, sketches and detail drawings as required. As necessary perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
  • Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents.
  • Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team by attending Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings in conjunction with project budget.
  • May independently research as need arises and respond to emergent issues.

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required. Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
  • EIT/FE in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
  • Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.

The salary range for this position is $67,346 to $79,230 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. Refurb/Assembly II associates rework, repair and assemble all returned Ecolab plumbing sub-assemblies, control head sub-assemblies, and pump motor sub-assemblies as they apply to industrial dish machines. Clean and test critical components identified for refurb. Reassemble industrial dish machines using refurbished components. Coordinate the breakdown and cleaning of machines and components. Ship and receive dish machines in the refurb area. All positions available are for the 1st shift, Monday - Thursday 6am to 4pm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Can be assigned to any the following areas: Cleaning, Breakdown, Machine Prep, Machine Assembly, Motor Sub-Assembly, Plumbing Sub-Assembly, Components Test and Clean, Material Handling or Shipping.
  • Basic electrical wiring, routine testing of mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic components of assembled units and make necessary adjustment and/or corrections.
  • Use and set up all required power tools and equipment.
  • Work from procedure sheets, parts diagrams, specification sheets, or verbal/written instructions.
  • If assigned to Refurb Shipping area, receive and ship all dish machines for the Refurb area. Verify the accuracy of serial numbers. Maintain dirty machine inventory and Preparation of bill of ladings.

Work well as part of a team and have the ability to get along well with other people.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Able to interpret color coding for basic wiring.
  • Knowledge of assembly techniques, test procedures, use of hand power tools, and working knowledge of mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer courses in blueprint reading, basic electricity, basic plumbing or equivalent knowledge gained through past experience.

  • Stud welding or other metal working experience.
