Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Teller II is responsible for providing quality customer service per Bank standards in accurately and efficiently completing various financial transactions and account opening procedures in adherence to all Bank policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communication with customers
- Actively listening to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions
- Refer any customer questions regarding products or services to the appropriate person
- Accurately enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer-generated receipts
- Cash checks and pay out monies after verifying signatures/endorsements are correct, written and numerical amounts agree, and accounts have sufficient funds
- Balance/count currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers by hand or using currency-counting machine, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines
- Receive and count daily inventories of cash and drafts. Monitor bank vaults and ATM's to ensure cash balances are correct. Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs
- Carry out special services for customers as requested in adherence to Bank policy
- Process transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits
- Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance
- Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
- Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts
- Explain, promote, or sell Bank products or services using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the account opening process for all deposit accounts, including, but no limited to: savings, checking, money market, and business accounts
- Count, verify, and post armored car deposits
- Compose, type, and mail customer statements and other correspondence related to issues such as discrepancies and outstanding unpaid items
- Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing and answering multi-line phone system
- Analyzes applicants' financial status and credit to determine feasibility of opening new accounts
- Performing all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service/cash handling

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tests and evaluates the accuracy of annuity product illustrations using Excel tools developed by the actuarial team members, and creates test plans to ensure that the tests are conducted effectively and accurately.
Identifies and reports error patterns and communicates them effectively to the team for prompt resolution.
Participates in cross-training sessions with illustration specialists who have marketing illustration backgrounds.
Performs periodic testing of internal administration systems to ensure that all systems are working optimally.
Identifies opportunities to improve current testing processes, implements these changes proactively, and ensures that accuracy is maintained.
Collaborates with the sales and distribution team to understand their needs and relay this information to the business analyst effectively.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
2-4 years' experience working with illustration or administration software similar to LifePro, FAST, Imagisoft
Experience using MS Excel annuity product calculators (Preferred)
Knowledge of or prior experience working with annuity products and systems is highly preferred.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of working in a testing capacity, with experience testing a variety of systems and applications.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools. (Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote)
Prior experience using a project management and issue tracking software such as JIRA is preferred.
REASONING ABILITY:
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and articulate issues to the team.

Under moderate supervision, this intermediate level position focuses on applying/developing knowledge of tax and accounting principles for income taxes, preparing the federal and state income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, monthly tax provisions and associated supporting work papers for the separate affiliated groups and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Participates as a member of the compliance team to prepare intermediate level federal and state income tax returns. (55%)
- Helps to prepare intermediate level United States monthly tax provisions including the associated tax account roll forward schedules and performs other tax accounting procedures. (20%)
