Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments
- Analyze and reconcile tax general ledger accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis

- Partner with finance, legal, treasury, and accounting teams to align financial reporting, transactions, and controls

- 3-5 years of progressive corporate tax experience in public accounting or industry

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**Purpose of the Position:**
Enhance manufacturing operations and drive efficiency, quality, and innovation through technical expertise and teamwork.
**Day to Day Responsibilities:**
+ Provide engineering-level production support to manufacturing operation and actively engage in plant safety initiatives and projects.
+ Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
+ Provide engineering expertise for fundamental understanding of manufacturing issues.
+ Lead and/or provide support for projects involving cost reduction, process optimization, and new products.
+ Develop and maintain systems to monitor and proactively address equipment/process performance, including trend analysis and implementation plans.
+ Receive and integrate new technologies to improve process capability while ensuring proper processes are followed during transfer.
**Required Education/Skills:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong data analysis and statistical skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Minitab, or equivalent
+ Use scientific method and engineering principles to solve problems thoroughly and effectively, using well-designed and executed processes
+ Strong communication and presentation skills
**Desired Skills:**
+ Master's Degree in Engineering
+ Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification
+ Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
+ Project management experience
+ Knowledge in vision control system and mechatronics in fiber optic industry

The range for this position is $82,157.00 - $112,966.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
