Carlow University is seeking a full-time Housekeeper II. Responsibilities include cleaning and assigned area such as a small building, a portion of a larger building, or a group of offices. Duties require making routine work decisions independently although work usually follows established methods and work procedures. Employees in the class may perform duties such as ordering and reordering supplies for the storage space in their assigned area via the "Request for Supplies" form and distributing supplies to the other Housekeeping employees, reporting needed repairs to a supervisor, and training new employees in the materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations. UPMC Corporate Revenue Cycle is hiring a Coder II-Technical to join our Coding team! This position will be a work-from-home position working Monday through Friday during business hours.

In this role, you will be handling outpatient coding. Coding diagnosis & procedure codes ICD10 & CPT codes and charging for injections, infusions, hydrations, and reconciling NCCI edits.

Responsibilities:

  • Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to billing system utilizing CCI edits. Utilize standard coding guidelines, principles and coding clinics to assign the appropriate ICD-9-CM, CPT and DSM IV codes for all record types to ensure accurate reimbursement. (i.e. use of coding clinics, CPT Assistant, etc). Utilize the ACEP acuity level guidelines for assigning the correct acuity level for ED coding, or hospital specific acuity level module as needed.
  • Adhere to internal department policies and procedures to ensure efficient work processes. Actively participate in monthly coding meetings and share ideas and suggestions for operational improvements. Maintain continuing education by attending seminars, reviewing updated CPT assistant guidelines and updated coding clinics.
  • Make forward progress within the training period toward meeting coding accuracy standards of 98% within the first year of employment. Meet appropriate coding productivity standards within the time frame established by management staff.
  • Code all diagnoses and procedures by assigning and verifying the proper ICD-9-CM and CPT codes (DSM IV if applicable). Assign the principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by thoroughly reviewing all documentation available at the time of coding.
  • Utilize computer applications and resources essential to completing the coding process efficiently, such as hospital information systems (Medipac/SMS/Meditech), encoders and electronic medical record repositories. If applicable, abstract required medical and demographic information from the medical record and enter the data into the appropriate information system to ensure accuracy of the database. Correct any data to be in error after reviewing the medical record and comparing with system entries.
  • Refer problem accounts to appropriate coding or management personnel for resolution.
  • Complete work assignments in a timely manner and understand the workflow of the department. Maintain daily productivity statistics and submit a weekly productivity sheet to management clearly indicating the number of hours worked, the number of coding hours, the number of average charts per hour, and number of minutes/hours spent on non-coding tasks.
  • Determine diagnoses that were treated, monitored and evaluated and procedures done during the episode of care and assign appropriate codes. Review appropriate documents in the patients' charts to accurately assign a diagnosis and/or procedure. Ensure the diagnoses and procedures are sequenced in order of their clinical significance to accurately assign the appropriate DRG/APC/ASC or payment tier under the Prospective Payment system or DSM IV methodology to guarantee accurate reimbursement on UPMC patients.
  • Identify incomplete documentation in the medical record and formulate a physician query to obtain missing documentation and/or clarification to accurately complete the coding process. Consult with DRG Specialist when applicable during query process.

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of hospital coding experience.
  • Completed an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or certificate, Bidwell Training School or equivalent program. Curriculum includes Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-9-CM and CPT Coding Guidelines and Procedures. Maintains a clean and tidy selling floor at all times Adheres to all applicable retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations and Asset Protection procedures
Replenishes inventory on sales floor as needed
Supports Store Inventory Process by processing shipment, stocking shelves, replenishing sales floor, maintains strong organizational standards as it relates to product both in the stockroom and on the sales floor.

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Scientist II to join our Remediation team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services

The selected candidate will join a large established team conducting environmental assessment and remediation projects across PA. This position requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a range of projects, and a positive attitude.

The selected candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team and will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.

The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

•Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.
•Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
•Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
•Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
•Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
•Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
•Works under general supervision.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS in Environmental Science or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
  • As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Masters Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in investigations and studies, remediation remedy or design
  • Experience with application of techniques and procedures, including mulit-media sampling (soil, groundwater, sediment, air)
  • Experience with US EPA, NJDEP, PADEP
  • Subcontractor oversight experience
  • Experience with soil logging and groundwater monitoring well installation
  • Understanding of project delivery requirements,
  • Knowledge to conduct reports with creativity, foresight, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Project management experience and developing project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence
