Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation and shipment of goods, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies and client requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
- Track and monitor freight status, ensuring smooth flow and resolving any transportation issues.
- Communicate with carriers, freight brokers, and drivers to schedule and dispatch shipments.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Provide status updates and shipment details to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and other service providers to achieve cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise, such as delays, damage, or lost shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Support the development and implementation of logistics strategies
Position Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and any ERP software preferred.
- Ability to quickly resolve logistical challenges and maintain service standards.
- Familiarity with customs brokerage, import/export regulations, and shipping documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Other Requirements: Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
