Logistics Operations

Support Team Leader in projects to onboard Copeland sites into SCO, improve spend under management.

Support the Operational Management of the Copeland Cross Dock Network.

Coordination and resolution of issues related to the logistics network and the escalation of any critical issues to management.

Support SCO Operational and Audit Pay Teams in any ground rates or carrier related inquiries.

Spend Visibility

Work with Business Units Freight Audit & Payment Manager and Mode Team members to ensure the CASS collaboration process and invoice approval is done in a timely manner.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • Demonstrate competency in working and excelling in a team environment, including the ability to interact across all levels of management within and outside the organization.

  • Strong project management skills, including analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word software

  • Experience with programming to support workflow business process automation would be beneficial.

**Description**
If you have experience in managing logistics processes, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will be responsible for supporting US/Canada regional logistics strategy. Through collaboration with business units supply chain, operations, and sales leaders, align logistics strategic initiatives to improve cost, on-time delivery, and reliability. **As a Regional Logistics Manager, you will:**
+ Work closely with business unit Logistics and Supply Chain Leaders across the corporation to identify mode specific cost savings opportunities and implement long term, sustainable solutions to improve supply chain performance
+ Manage the US and Canada Customs Brokers utilizing the global Trade Compliance standards.
+ Support center-led procurement strategies via Landed Cost Calculation support
+ Deal with ambiguity, think critically, to deliver solutions in support of operational excellence
+ Facilitate transportation strategy utilizing Copeland's global transportation management system
+ Oversee and/or execute the data analytics required to enable continuous operational improvement and alignment with Copeland's business system
+ Display Strong communication, analytical and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

If you are a DISTRIBUTION and LOGISTICS leader looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH or St. Louis, MO locations, you will provide leadership to our North American HVACR distribution network. You will have direct responsibility for multiple distribution centers and logistics and strategic leadership for Copeland's overall distribution footprint. This role ensures operational excellence, drives efficiency, and maintains high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the VP of Integrated Supply Chain.
As the Senior Director, Distribution and Logistics, you will:
+ Develop and execute the business unit distribution strategy in alignment with company objectives
+ Accountable for logistics, fulfillment, and transportation performance by leading through multiple site leaders, rather than direct daily management
+ Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational productivity
+ Manage and develop relationships with third-party suppliers and customers

+ Support the VP in long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives
Required education, experiences & skills:

    • Check Brix, pressure levels and pulp temperatures on inbound produce product.
    • File claims on out of spec product that stays in the DC and follow company guidelines and procedures for filing and recording claims. Communicate with merchandising, procurement and vendor.
    • Reject product that is out of temperature or dating guidelines. Communicate such to immediate supervisor, merchandising and procurement staff.
    • Be actively involved in banana ripening process and insure that bananas are shipping to stores at proper stage and temperature.
    • Work with vendor community and WESCO in identifying and correcting any quality issues.
    • Keep inspection area sanitized and thermometers and scales calibrated.
    • Perform short date surveillances daily on most volatile products and once per week on longer shelf life product.
    • Direct drivers or WSS to pull random samples throughout the truck on straight loads in accordance with company guidelines. Take samples to be inspected to the QA area.
    • Keep ground beef log and temperatures to provide information on any food borne illness point of origin.
    • Identify improperly rotated product and correct the rotation issue with the help of the supervisor.
