Position Summary:
Children's Aid runs a summer day camp in Chappaqua, NY that brings together children from Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester. Campers and staff are bused to and from the camp each day. The purpose of this camp is to provide traditional summer camp activities (swimming, arts & crafts, sports, horsemanship, etc.) in the context of relationship building. The children who attend this camp are from different socio-economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds, and range in age from 6-13
The Camp Logistics Driver runs errands and helps transport items and equipment around the camp. The Driver is supervised by the Office Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Transporting the Water Coolers to their designated areas and picking them up at the end of each day.
- Running errands off campus to purchase items needed for the camp.
- Observe all camp policies and procedures and role model for the children all camp rules of conduct that apply to them.
- Attend 3 days of training and orientation prior to camp.
- Fulfill job activities not listed here important to the success of the camp.
- Drive the vehicle when transporting campers for program reasons. Must be accompanied by a second staff member who is responsible for the participants.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver license and a good driving record required.

**Position Summary:**

**Schedule** : Monday - Friday 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Hours may vary depending on business needs)
**Salary** : $54,900 - 72,700 - Position is bonus eligible up to 12% of the base salary
**Major Responsibilities:**
People
- Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives
- Establish and sustain that performance standards are communicated that are specific and measurable
- Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates

Operations
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
- Conduct team meetings
- Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of dispatch operations. Assist in new associate training
- Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift
- Have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems in order to ensure operational compliance and correct exception resolution
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Finance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures such as tracking MPG, returns, damages, etc.
- Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability
- Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets
Safety
- Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are aligned with the location safety strategy
- Provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance

Scope:
Reporting to the Senior Director Global Transportation, the Logistics Tender Manager is responsible for sourcing international ocean, heavy inter-modal, inland drayage and parcel freight services with annual spend in excess of $200MM in support of regional logistics operations. This will involve facilitating international freight rate tender exercises with freight forwarders, NVOCC and ocean carriers, along with periodic spot quoting of services for new lanes or changes to existing.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble lane data and documentation for international ocean, heavy air, intermodal, inland drayage, and/or parcel RFQs.
• Develop RFI/RFQs with instructions, scope definition, timeline, for global ocean and/or air freight tenders.
• Leverage in-house rate database and/or Blue Yonder sourcing tool to develop bid approach.
• Identify, qualify and contact suppliers to deliver request for proposal documentation.
• Schedule Q&A sessions with each supplier to review bid documents and field any questions or comments that may arise during the bid cycles.
• Follow up on deadlines to ensure timely submission.
• Review bid files for any abnormalities in formatting, pricing, blanks, zeros, etc.
• Analyze bid results and present options for Global Transportation team review.
• Benchmark air and ocean rate structures against market standards and indicators as needed.
• Create and distribute the individual carrier awards files.
• Update documentation for master service agreements including terms and conditions, statements of work and rate matrices as needed.
• Facilitate on-going monthly, quarterly, and/or annual air freight tenders or refreshers for expiring rates.
• Refresh air and ocean fuel surcharge calculations per currently defined model, and modify model if needed to align with changing market conditions.
• In addition to supporting global RFQ activities, solicit spot quotes requests for new lane pricing or adhoc shipments across all modes
Experience:
• Minimum seven years relevant and recent hands-on experience executing international ocean, heavy air freight, inter-modal, inland drayage and parcel service tenders to source third party global logistics providers and ocean carrier services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of international transportation markets, quoting, bid analysis, and negotiations for all international freight services.

**What you'll be doing:**
As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following two areas:
**Warehouse Inventory Control:** You will review inventory of product, reconcile inventory discrepancies, identify delivery shortages, and maintain inventory records to minimize discrepancies. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
**Warehouse Clerk:** You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages? You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
Please note, as an SC3 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 or SC2 roles, as needed.
You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

**What you bring to the table:**
+ An ability to perform and understand warehouse operations.
+ An ability to work independently, demonstrate analytical thinking including mathematic skills and the ability to solve problems.
+ An ability to work on a computer using Windows including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and ability to learn/understand WMS systems.
+ An ability to communicate and collaborate with all members of the team, at all levels to ensure successful customer outcomes.

+ An ability and a willingness to perform basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse.
+ An ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.
+ An ability to be trained and Material Handling Equipment certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.
+ Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
**What's needed- Basic Qualifications:**
+ Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
+ If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
+ Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
+ An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
+ Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
+ Must wear safety composite shoes.
+ Must be at least 18 years old.
**What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1+ year of related experience in a warehouse environment; including MHE experience, ability to become certified (i.e. Driving forklift, cherry picker, turret, or Electric Pallet Jack), and Inventory Control.
+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
