What You WILL DO
In the role of Logistics Manager, your duties will include:

Supply chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in the right condition. To include managing relationships with suppliers and transportation providers.

Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.

Transportation Management: Determining the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods for all shipments. The ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and track those shipments for a timely delivery.

Team Leadership: Manage and train logistics staff, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve operational goals.

Budget Management: Analyze budgets and financial reports to ensure that logistic operations are cost-effective. Identify areas for reduction and efficiency improvements.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS
REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a SECRET security clearance and the ability to be upgraded to TS/SCI w/ Poly level clearance.

Five (5)+ years of professional experience with the below:

Managing contractor’s logistics, procurement, transportation, and warehousing activities

Implementing and managing streamlined and cost-effective procurement and transportation processes

Tracking and Reporting supply chain status

Experience with FAR property classification and property life cycle.

Work Schedule : Rotating Weekly between 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with the possibility of occasional overtime as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Check out drivers via SAP in a timely manner with all proper documents (bill of lading, packing list, COA, SDS, seals, and placards).
- File preloaded bulk and package order for pick up.
- Check all outbound deliveries in SAP for railcar shipments and complete any orders as needed.
- Send shipment papers to dispatch headquarters.
- Send out daily exception report for packaged shipments.
- Update Shift Supervisor prior to leaving the status of drivers in plant due for sign out.
- Handle the reception of inbound trailer deliveries of raw materials and misc. supplies.
- Handle the inbound and outbound of empty and loaded Hopper railcars using SAP and Union Pacific database for tracking purposes.
- Perform monthly stock inventories to reconcile physical and virtual discrepancies.
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Interpersonal skills, ability to provide welcoming environment for drivers, and interaction with customer contacts.
- Clerical experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment is a plus, but not required
- Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data
- Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database
- Experience using SAP is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check

- Work with freight forwarders for international ocean/air import, export activities;
- Work with customs broker for import/ export customs clearance;
- Follow up duty drawback;

- Coordinate and provide instruction between oversea departments for logistics consolidation;
- Check and assure entries are compliance with Imports/Exports regulations and government agency's requirement;
- Coordinate domestic transportation between customers, suppliers, departments, and shipping company;
- Assure effective planning for cost-effective goal.
- Create invoice/PL and bill to customers, review and pay billing invoices;
- Track and monitor shipments, analyze shipments for logistics performance rating and optimization;
- Place Purchase Orders and track orders fulfillment;
- Maintain inventory database, inventory control, and inventory audit;
- Assure all logistics procedures are compliance with QMS requirement.
Education: A college degree is required
Experience: At least 5 years' logistics industry experience; at least 3 years' experience with international shipments; knowledge of transportation industry regulations, Imports/Export regulations

- Inspects product based on quality checklist, notifies supervisor of any discrepancies; Records inventory transactions.

Job Purpose:The Logistics Manager will be accountable for optimizing every facet of transportation and logistics. Your goal will be to ensure goods move efficiently and cost-effectively from start to finish, while consistently refining processes and using data to inform strategic choices and achieve operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:- Transportation Management: Manage all domestic and international shipping activities across FedEx, UPS, LTL, FTL, ocean, and air freight. Optimize carrier selection, route planning, and service level agreements. Monitor delivery exceptions and resolve shipment issues in a timely manner. Use TMS to simulate routing scenarios and identify cost-effective mode shifts (e.g., air to ground, FTL to LTL).
- Freight Cost Optimization: Analyze freight invoices and shipping spend by carrier, region, mode, and product. Identify cost-saving opportunities such as consolidations and optimized carrier mix. Recommend strategies to reduce cost per shipment or unit.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Benchmark and compare freight rates; support contract negotiations with carriers. Monitor and evaluate carrier performance (on-time%, damage%, claim rate%, etc.). Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and identify new vendor opportunities.
- KPI & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards to monitor cost per unit/shipment, transit times, on-time delivery rate, shipment volume by region and mode, and fuel surcharge impact. Provide monthly and quarterly analysis to leadership; flag operational inefficiencies. Track logistic KPIs such as claim rate and exception frequency.
- Route & Mode Optimization: Analyze shipping lanes to recommend faster or more economical routes. Use analytics to optimize mode selection and determine when to consolidate shipments. Improve distribution efficiency by leveraging data for continuous improvement.
- System Integration & Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement TMS tools and automation solutions for freight audit. Improve labeling, manifesting, and documentation to streamline operations. Collaborate with IT and warehouse teams for improved WMS and OMS integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer service, warehouse, finance, procurement, and product teams. Support the onboarding of new carriers or 3PLs and align logistics strategy across departments. Communicate analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead logistics operations to ensure an efficient and effective supply chain. Assign, monitor, and review work to enhance team capabilities and foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving cost and service goals.

This position analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions related to the assigned product(s) within the organization. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION: Managing Import/Export Shipments, Custom Clearance and handling Custom House Agents & Inland Transportation. Managing NCR material including export and import. ERP system management: Analysing information and assuring KPIs are met. Local Supplier Management, including sourcing, purchasing, delivery and invoicing. Warehousing management including stock take, layout, ERP system maintenance. Build up and/or maintain good relationships and communication with internal & external stakeholders and suppliers. Store and purchasing team management, including streamlining work process, and updating procedures Any other tasks and duties as directed by the manager Maintains safe and clean working environment. Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality consciousness. Advise management of any changes in materials, plant or processes which may impact on safety, quality, or the environment, as well as any improvements that could advance OUR CLIENT's quality and environmental performance. Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes. Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business administration or engineering with a focus in project management, logistics or transportation INITIAL TRAINING: Quality system Occupational Hazards Prevention System Railway Safety Management System Human Resources Policies QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Operate a computer terminal to include Microsoft Suite software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Plan and organize work to meet time constraints and deadlines Compile, organize and analyses information Analyze situations, identify problems and recommend solutions Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator at DSV, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, materials, and products from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with various departments within the company to ensure that shipments are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications. You will also be responsible for tracking shipments, managing inventory levels, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers
* Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure shipments are delivered on time and according to customer specifications
* Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documentation
* Track shipments and manage inventory levels
* Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process, including delays, damages, and lost shipments
* Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions
* Monitor transportation costs and work to minimize expenses
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Educational background / Work experience
