Position Description:

The Training Logistics Coordinator supports the Training and Development team by managing the logistical and administrative aspects of training programs and company events. This includes coordinating travel and accommodations for new hires and employees, booking training venues, managing catering and materials, and ensuring seamless execution of training events.

Essential Job Duties:

• Travel & Lodging Coordination
• Book flights, hotel rooms, and transportation for trainees and meeting attendees
• Ensure new hires receive travel itineraries and reimbursements (if needed)
• Work with vendors/hotels for group rates and direct billing
• Be available evenings or weekends to support unforeseen travel needs
• Training Event Support
• Reserve venues or meeting rooms for training
• Arrange catering, A/V setup, materials, and signage
• Set up and break down event spaces or meeting rooms as needed
• Be on-site or on-call for troubleshooting during events
• Administrative Duties
• Maintain calendars, schedules, and RSVPs for training sessions

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, legibly speaks, and understands English; must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and Plunkett's employees; including strong telephone skills (tone, clarity, grammar, and phone etiquette)
• Available to work 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F with some evenings and/or weekends to support unforeseen travel needs
• The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• At least one years experience with travel booking tools or corporate travel systems
• At least one years experience in Event planning and/or travel coordination background
• Self-directed with strong work ethic and attention to detail

Act as the key liaison for domestic 3PL providers and manage relationships with cross-dock and local warehousing partners.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined by a wide variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

The Senior Logistics Manager is an important and integral component of the Street Factory production system. The manager is responsible for the management and scheduling of logistics team members, accurate quoting and planning of shipping needs, ground operations setup and strike for all incoming and outgoing project assets, and location and management of SFM facilities.

The Senior Logistics Manager is also responsible for managing and scheduling the fabrication queue. This involves monitoring the shops overall fabrication load, helping producers manage client expectations and ensuring SFM products are completed on time.

• Pre-production
  • Creation of accurate plans and estimates pertaining to: packing, shipping and
    installation, strike, storage, disposal of every project at SFM.
• Shipping and Handling
  • Coordinating with producers, designers, and fabricators to ensure logistics staff are delivering all assets and materials arrive in excellent condition to the designated locations on or before their designated deadline.
  • Purchasing of all shipping materials for all projects.
• Field Management Oversight
  • Coordinate with producers to ensure setup and strike teams will be in place and with clear work plans.
• Facilities management: Storage / Disposal / Maintenance
  • Oversee the efficient and organized use of SFM properties.
  • Develop specific plans for the complete break-down of all incoming shipping assets.
  • Liquidate any unneeded SFM property
  • Reduce general waste with local donation companies.
  • Maintain accurate deadlines for client stored assets to ensure payment, or disposal at the end of the storage term.
• Fleet Management
  • Work directly with the Fleet Manager to ensure vehicles are kept up to date with maintenance.
  • Maintain and update a fleet calendar to better forecast our vehicle needs and ensure no vehicles are double booked.

• Ensure timely production workflow for all ongoing SFM fabrication projects
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demands
• Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
• Identify problems and help improve by implementing processes
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
• Triage last minute edits and changes, plan for minimum disruption
• Assist producers with managing client expectations by preparing and submitting ongoing status and performance reports

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate, our customers, and the general public with whom our drivers interact remain injury free, always. Champion safety procedures, processes and training to create and maintain a safety-first culture in the Transportation department.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example. Ensure all drivers and other Transportation department associates are appropriately trained in job duties as well as safety and legal responsibilities.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates by discussing performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and creating plans to address gaps.
Create an atmosphere in which upward communication is encouraged, and motivate associates to achieve department goals and objectives.
Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates within the Transportation department. Drive associate engagement and retention, and create a culture that embodies US Foods values.
Build high-performing teams by participating in interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel, in conjunction with Sr. Transportation Managers. Review performance, coach on service and safety targets, and deliver disciplinary action.
Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction. Anticipate, analyze and troubleshoot problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and legal solutions; act to implement same. Ensure team understands and adheres to DOT regulations.
Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings.
Oversee maintenance of driver qualification files.
Investigate all accidents, maintain an accident file, track causes and take appropriate preventative action.

Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
Experience as a driver a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
