Operations
  • Retrieve and prepare suppliers' requirements for kitted and bulk shipments
  • Create appropriate shipping labels for outbound shipments
  • Create daily inspection worksheets
  • Prepare daily dock audits for verification of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare and send Advance Ship Notices (ASN) and/or invoices to end customer
  • Enter received shipments into WITS (Web Inventory Tracking System)
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts
  • Conduct and reconcile yearly physical inventory
  • Complete manual invoices for price discrepancies, as required
  • Research, identify, and locate inventory discrepancy
  • Scan documents electronically and send to supplier and end customer
  • Prepare shipping documents and bills-of-lading
  • Track and expedite supplier shipments when required
  • Monitor supplier inventory levels and ensure no shortages exist
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance indicators
  • Segregate and dispose of defective materials

The Veteran Liaison Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with transportation vendors to process veteran transportation requests and is the point of contact for incoming calls & e-mails concerning transportation requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for incoming calls and e-mail inquiries for all transportation requests.

This position is eligible for a bonus based on 35% of compensation. The Director of Supply Chain for our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) will manage a multi-location team that oversees the supply chain working with suppliers to ensure availability of parts to support aftermarket customer orders. In alignment with Enterprise partners, this leader will also develop, implement, and manage the supply chain strategies and solutions for the Americas division.

PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Caterpillar aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and the global service organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead aftermarket supply chain execution with North and South America suppliers to ensure optimal parts availability, while exceeding customer expectations. Leads communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution to establish integrated processes to streamline supply chains.
  • Collaborate closely with Caterpillar internal and external suppliers to optimize short- and long-term shipping performance.
  • Work closely with procurement organizations on aftermarket assurance of supply, supply resiliency, and supplier initiatives that benefits the Enterprise supply chain.
  • Lead communication efforts on order and supply status for dealers and customers and manage urgent customer requests to expedite supply when needed.
  • Interacting with internal manufacturing facilities on production schedules and expected deliverables.
  • Lead leaders responsible for logistics specialists career planning, including training, hiring, and coaching.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and execution; monitoring planned vs. actual performance and presents results to senior management.

Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.

Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.

Location:

  • This role will be based out of our Morton, IL office. Domestic relocation is offered for this role.

Additional Details:

  • Up to 25% travel required in this role.
  • This role is based on-site, five days a week.
  • This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillar's long-term incentive plan.

Summary Pay Range: $85,400.00 - 278,160.00
