Advanced Training

Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Post-Service Opportunities

It's also important to note that specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields like logistics and business management.

Part-Time Opportunities

Serving part-time in the Navy Reserve, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Supply Corps Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes. This gives you the flexibility to expand your profession in the Navy without compromising your civilian career at home.

For annual training, Supply Corps Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether at sea or on shore stations at home and abroad.

  • Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of key performance measures, as assigned by Operations leadership.
  • Understand company objectives and protect the company's business interests.
  • Track and trace shipments throughout the life cycle of shipment; resolve any issues or concerns with a shipment.
  • Proactively communicate with customers on the status of their shipments.
  • Knowledgeable and daily use of TMS (transportation software) Ensure all information in TMS is timely and accurate.
  • Knowledgeable on charter, hand carry, & ground expedites flows.
  • Ability to bid and dispatch shipments and occasionally train any team member on handling shipments from pickup, bookings, documentation and tracing of cargo to the final destination.
  • Knowledgeable of brokerage services (customs).
  • Follow company's procedures and best practices for e-mail management and other medium such as Microsoft team under the shared team guidelines.
  • Identifies and report up any continual improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the position, team, and company.
  • Use problem solving and customer service skills to resolve any issues or concerns to any shipment.
  • Provide exceptional and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments. Maintain clear verbal and communication with clients.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal personnel.
  • Attend team meetings to review the week performances/concerns/improvements.
  • Use problem solving and customer service skills to resolve any issues or concerns to any shipment.
  • Attend cross functional trainings with other team members to support PTO coverage.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation industry, including charter, hand carry, and ground expedites flows.
  • Knowledge of brokerage services
  • Knowledge of specialized transportation software.
  • Honesty and integrity in all business matters.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation skills, sense of urgency and able to work under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to work and excel in a fast-paced team environment.

Language Skills:
This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
