Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing or management
  • Previous experience utilizing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle and/or JD Edwards)
  • Project management
  • Prior WMS and technology experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Business or a related field

Responsibilities

The Logistics manager is responsible for the overall management of the shipping, logistics, receiving and warehousing personnel, resources, inventory and functionality at the Amcor Griffin, GA facility. Job Description

The Logistics Administrator will provide administrative support to the Logistics department through, but not limited to, organizational support, data entry, and general administrative duties.

Key Contributions of the Role
  • Support customer's inquiries by answering phones and emails within Service Cloud/Webex
  • Administer in-house logistics services
  • Provide routing with preferred carrier base
  • Set up FTL and LTL loads through the preferred carrier program
  • Track and trace shipments from pickup through POD
  • Provide rate quotes with a target-defined profit margin
  • Provide customers with proper shipping documents, including shipper letter of instructions, bill of lading, and labels
  • Handle overages, shortages, and damages
  • Assist with inventory verification/counts for logistics supplies
  • Assist in maintenance and housekeeping of the Logistics Department
  • Collaborate with the Logistics and Material Handling team to complete logistics reports data entry and provide communications to teams
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a high-volume business environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience servicing shipping or transportation services
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe software
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
