Logistics Manager

CACI is hiring a Logistics Lead for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) program. ABMS is tasked with providing the Department of the Air Force's contribution to the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2). ABMS's systems of systems approach adopts the best practices of open architectures, government owned waveforms and DevSecOps to enable rapid proliferation of new software and hardware across the Department. DevSecOps and software reuse represents potential reduction in overall service costs for modernization and procurement. The systematic breakdown of elements of the systems deviates from traditional systems acquisition in that the system is fractionated into smaller components of the larger system, and developed in a manner that can be developed, acquired and procured on independent timelines. This transition provides technology changes through time to be adopted quickly and demonstrates a continuous integration/continuous deployment approach regardless of type of activity.

This position will be on-site in Hampton, VA only, remote/hybrid work schedules are not available for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and often with parties external to the organization, to include customers or vendors.
  • Communicates with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization. May conduct briefings with senior leaders within job function.
  • Responsible for leading large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains an IUID Marking plan that ensures the system is compliance with Military Standards
  • Performs all material, maintenance, and sustainment support to the system during the phases of its lifecycle.
  • Shall perform reach back support, technical assistance, and train personnel
  • Requires knowledge regarding the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements
  • Develops and implements an Integrated Product Support Logistics Plan
  • Performs Supply Chain Risk Management and recommends practices to reduce risk
  • Identify, analyze, and provide Logistics Product Data to support efficient and cost-effective practices
  • Ensures compliance with DoD FIAR requirements
  • Performs obsolescence engineering and provides a risk/opportunity assessment with recommended course of action
  • Conducts level of repair analysis and develops a program strategy
  • Drafts a DMSMS management program and documents standard operating procedures
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study, from accredited college or university
  • At least 15 years of experience in military IT, or the civilian equivalent
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of DoD FIAR
  • Demonstrates highly proficient knowledge of applicable federal regulations (FAR/DFARS) and contracting experience with prime contractors or subcontractors as well as all contract types
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding in customs, tariffs, and duties. Knowledgeable in customs control and capable of interfacing with foreign customs authorities to expedite movement of parts through the customs process, with minimal delays.
  • Experience integrating logistics planning initiatives into supportable programming documentation.
  • Analyzing and evaluating (on a quantitative and qualitative basis) support required to sustain operations at alternative locations.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize and execute against multiple priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of databases and spreadsheets; excellent data entry skills.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-130
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Air Force, JADC2 or Department of Defense

GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is for a Logistics Manager. Responsible for managing and providing logistics services to Program managers during project planning, execution, system testing, and certification.

LOCATION: Norfolk, VA

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversight and or able to perform the following:
  • Bid analysis for procurement of material/services more than 10K across multiple locations.
  • Prepare Statements of Work and Request for Quotation for materials and services.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve material/services issues and submit vendor feedback/supply corrective action requests as needed.
  • Directly responsible for writing and modifying companywide shipping and receiving processes and manuals.
  • Attend Production meetings and review material requirements for tasks.
  • Generate Job Material Lists (JML) as needed and review JML for accuracy and assign logistics personnel.
  • Ensure logistics personnel initiate procurement requests properly.
  • Provide oversight of warehouse via warehouse managers across all locations.
  • Manage all materials across all locations ensuring timely execution of production supplies as required.
  • Conduct material management meetings and training to ensure all teams are operating seamlessly companywide
ANCILLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as Point of Contact for all building related issues regarding warehouse maintenance.
  • Overall responsibility for shipping, receiving, and all storage requirements.
  • Address CARs, PARs, and CRs.
  • Vendor selection and negotiation, distribution of goods and services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Supply/Logistics field in relation to a DoD procurement environment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance and CAC card.
  • Reading and understanding manuals and drawings.
  • Experience with FAR and DFAR.

CACI is hiring a Logistics Lead for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) program. ABMS is tasked with providing the Department of the Air Force's contribution to the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2). ABMS's systems of systems approach adopts the best practices of open architectures, government owned waveforms and DevSecOps to enable rapid proliferation of new software and hardware across the Department. DevSecOps and software reuse represents potential reduction in overall service costs for modernization and procurement. The systematic breakdown of elements of the systems deviates from traditional systems acquisition in that the system is fractionated into smaller components of the larger system, and developed in a manner that can be developed, acquired and procured on independent timelines. This transition provides technology changes through time to be adopted quickly and demonstrates a continuous integration/continuous deployment approach regardless of type of activity.

**Qualifications:**

+ Complete and verify the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods for all HAZMAT shipments.

+ Confirm correct hazard class identification and select appropriate packaging.
+ Ensure all markings, labels, and documentation meet safety and security standards.
+ Provide Material Handling Equipment (MHE) support and coordinate transport of Norfolk material to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
+ Maintain accurate inventory and requisition records using the FLC Norfolk process.
+ Adhere to all training and certification requirements for HAZMAT handling and shipping.
+ Use MS Office products which is required.
+ Do other additional duties may be assigned in support of this effort.
