Position Summary
This position is responsible for the scheduling and tracking of customer shipments as well as overall fleet and safety management.
Essential Functions
- Schedules, prioritizes, and manages customer orders & shipments
- Dedicated to overseeing relationship with supplier, wash, repair, NPPC facilities, carrier, and render facilities
- Initiates appropriate actions to resolve issues in supply chain that has an impact on shipment to customer
- Ensures that deliveries and customer equipment are in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
- Record and maintain files and records that are requested by customer
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent business experience
- Experience in multi-compartment tanker transportation; concrete admixtures preferable, but not necessary
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced customer environment

The Manager of Supply Chain Services leads the activities of all staff who order, manage, receive, store and deliver materials, equipment and supplies to all entity departments. Responsible for overseeing supply chain related services including but not limited to: inventory management, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and related handling of materials and equipment; supervises the transport of materials to and from departments; ensures material needs are met throughout the organization, and has budgetary responsibility and authority for personnel actions. Develops supply chain tactical plans in an effort to improve product availability, reduce costs, optimize inventory investment and provide high quality services. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

- Responsible for maintaining efficient inventory controls systems by monitoring the defragmentation of the supply inventory.
- Organizes and oversees receiving and storeroom operations ensuring timely and accurate distribution of materials and proper storage of stock.
- Monitors inventory levels, reorders and back orders in an effort to ensure that appropriate levels of stock are maintained for efficient hospital operations.
- Works closely with Purchasing in order to expedite inventory levels.
- Ensures that all departments personnel are proficient in the use of the current software systems used in the department.
- Recommends, develops and coordinates the implementation of departmental policies and procedures, and reviews the utilization and application of those procedures in an effort to promote departmental efficiency and provide high quality health care services.
- Works closely with director in the developing and recommending annual departmental operating and capital budgets.
- Monitors the economical use and procurement of personnel, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures the periodic equipment maintenance is carried out in order to control hospital and departmental cost and ensure the conversation of all hospital resources.
- Oversees that proper cycle counts are conducted.
- Oversees the annual inventory process.
- Directs departmental continuous quality improvement programs that support the attainment of optimum health care service outcomes.
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory agency and JCAHO guidelines.
- Leads Supply Management Teams to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
- Selects, trains, orients and assigns departmental staff members in manner that ensures efficient operations and complies with relevant regulations governing the employment process. Implements and monitors departmental work schedules and duty assignments.
- Ensures all personnel are proficient in the use of the current tools, software systems, and metrics used in the department.
- Provides guidance and support to staff members, aids in removing performance barriers, and facilitates effective problem solving amongst employees.
- Prepares performance appraisals, assesses feedback from customers and peers, and communicates to employees successes and learning opportunities.
- Performs leadership in the absence of the Director.
- Completes assigned projects.
- Active involvement and oversight of performance improvement initiatives.
