Reporting to the Director Operations, USP Technologies, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for all aspects of the product supply chain and logistics functions. This role develops the future vision and strategy that ensures that the company's supply chain and logistic functions successfully support the accelerated growth of the business.
This position is part of the Supply Chain team located in Glen Allen, Virginia, United States and will be hybrid.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Manage all supply chain daily processes to include customer inventory management and chemical ordering and delivery.
+ Manage and maintain strategic relationships with chemical suppliers.
+ Maintain deep understanding of chemical market conditions, future supply and demand issues, and major cost drivers that will impact company supply contracts, cost and sourcing decisions.
+ Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure supplier quality, delivery, cost, lead time, inventory, service level, and risk mitigation goals are met?
+ Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve identified sourcing strategies?
+ Play an active role in resolving critical quality and delivery issues with suppliers, comprehensive ownership of supplier performance.
+ Responsible for vendor/customer set-ups, product requests, product updates, vendor master maintenance, and other activities within USP's ERP system?
+ Oversee company fleet assets including delivery vehicles, transload equipment and trailers, and ensure proper maintenance, regulatory, safety and operational practices and procedures are maintained and followed.
+ Develop and execute supply chain solutions to optimize delivery lanes and cost.
+ Responsible for managing company freight spend by optimizing sourcing and logistics to reduce freight cost.
+ Develop and execute KPI's/Scorecards/Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure internal and vendor metrics are being met or exceeded? ?
+ Sustain consistent chemical ordering and receipt processes to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and vendor payments.
**The essential requirements of the job include** **:**
+ B.S. Degree or greater in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Logistics or equivalent discipline.
+ Minimum of 8-10 years' experience developing a strategy in supply chain and logistics to deliver on key performance indicators and process optimization.
+ 7+ years' experience as a people leader, including performance management, team development, and leading effectively through change.
+ 5+ years' experience installing and sustaining lean or business system principles to drive continuous improvement.
+ Up to 25% travel to off-site plant, customers, or supplier sites.
+ Position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

The Logistics Management Specialist develops assigned Supply Chain metrics which identify business objectives and drives the right supply chain behaviors for planning and executing approved strategies and providing supply chain expertise to improve supply availability with a focus on getting the right material, at the right time and right place to support the health care system.Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
  • Integration - Resolves or contributes to the resolution of assigned high-priority logistics, supply, distribution, information or service problems through personal action or immediate coordination with required local personnel/activities. Serves as an integrator and/or facilitator for contact with supply chain management customers, ensuring Supply Chain Management Service is positioned to serve the full range of supply chain needs. Performs logistical assessments of strategic supply support in coordination with the supported customers and alerts management of systemic problems. Troubleshoots and resolves issues where supply chain deficiencies affect the mission. Develops designated supply input for fiscal year and long-range plans and programs, analyzing material for reasonableness, consistency, and validity of various assumptions.
  • Analytics - Analyzes the effectiveness of logistics and vendor support services. Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and recommends solutions for improvements. Researches and studies private industry as well as Department of Veteran Affairs best practices to develop and apply concepts that best fit and support Supply Chain requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
12. Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Management, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field And 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
13. Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
14. 1. Learning and development programs within a logistics, retail operations, supply chain or related industry
15. 2. Working knowledge of ERP systems, WMS, TMS, MS office suite, and other supply chain tools
16. 3. Communicating effectively across the organization with interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team
17. 4. Cross functional collaboration across multiple teams and working independently and part of a team
18. 5. Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, or Operations Research
19. 6. Dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving problems with limited oversight
20. and 7. Proven background and interest in process improvement and gap analysis.

$153,087/year to $187,880/year + bonus + equity + benefits
