Insight Global is seeking a logistics supervisor to support an automotive manufacturing client.
Essential Functions:
- Lead IFA, NA safety initiatives with all associates within assigned area of responsibility
- Supervises the daily activities for all Logistics operations and associates to include development, coaching, counseling, evaluating performance, managing team schedules, timecard approvals
- Assist in planning and coordinating all activities in shipping, receiving, picking, and line side delivery to ensure production goals are achieved
- Interpret and administer company policies to workforce and enforces safety regulations
- Train all associates to documented standard work instructions Conduct routine audits ensuring standard work instructions are followed
- Communicate information related to safety, quality, production, and logistics to incoming shift supervisor and/or coordinator
- Keeps management informed of progress, developments, and pending problems within the Logistics Department
- Interface with internal and external customers, to support the company's goals and objectives
- Utilize SAP to track and review order status, fulfillment requirements and inventory levels
- Coordinate deliveries with customers and transportation and resolve any issues with customers or suppliers
- Perform routine daily physical audits and systematical audits using SAP of all materials and finished goods onsite
- Verify all customer orders are loaded, shipped and delivered in accordance with customer specifications
- Process shipping notices (ASN) within 30 minutes of product shipment
- Review and verify purchase orders against shipments received from vendors
- Consistently works on continuous improvement processes to include recommending measures to improve working conditions to increase efficiency and quality of facility, equipment, processes, or worker performance standards
- Supports lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, KanBan, visual management, 1-piece flow, etc
- Complies with IATF 16949, ISO , and customer requirements
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Under the responsibility of the Manager, the **Customer** **Logistics Supervisor (Warehouse Ops)** is responsible to supervise, coordinate and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff members. The successful candidate must be able to provide recommendations for improvements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. Lead and monitor the daily Shipping activities of FLM, Team Leaders and Warehouse Associates. Develop and revise standardized work with local engineering team, mentor FLM, Team Leaders and staff to improve problem-solving skills. Perform a variety of specialized administrative/supervisory duties.
- Accountable to the appropriate manager for department performance in the areas of quality, cost, delivery, safety environment, and policy administration.
- Provide leadership for the teams to ensure success in the transition to self-management
- Lead teams through conflict resolution processes and mediate team conflicts as needed. Resolve grievances and handle disciplinary situations as appropriate.
- Ensure that teams and team members have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.
- Manage team and department boundaries to ensure that decisions and actions of the team and the organization comply with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Facilitate and coordinate external support as needed by the team.
- Assign work as needed, instruct direct reports including flex staff, direct efforts and monitor progress and effectiveness of individual and group assignments.
- Conduct performance reviews and recommend personnel actions for direct reports. Recognize team accomplishments
- Collect, Extract and interpret data from a variety of sources.
- Create and maintain databases, retrieve information and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Research source documents and prepare moderately complex reports, spreadsheets and databases using complex mathematical and logic formulas.
- Prepare business charts for warehouse KPI
- May act as contact for vendors for services performed, etc.
- Coaching and Mentoring - Develop Team Leaders in BPS principles such as Standardized Work, Problem Solving,Transparency, A3, PDSS, Thinking, Deviation Tracking, learning via process experimentation
- Lead team efforts involving departmental projects and initiatives
- Lead customer satisfaction through KPI and CIP activities
- Provide guidance and technical support to the teams for continuous improvement process activities.
- Lead large groups or projects.
- Assist in development of others.

**Qualifications**
- BS or BA degree required, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 3-5 years job-specific experience
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of department and company policies and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of planning and legal issues associated with a leadership position
- Strong judgment in establishing work assignments in the area of responsibility and in the selection and interpretation of data
- Ability to delegate and motivate
- Excellent computer skills including spreadsheets, databases and word processing
- Strong mathematical and logical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preferred experience with SAP ERP.

What you'll do on a typical day:

At a minimum, you'll need:
- 5 years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment
- 5 years managerial/supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience
- Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P&L; experience with HR practices

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments
- Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
- Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jacks) in accordance with all safety procedures and protocol
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
- Assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Compile with Data Center security measures and access controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data center operations, procurement, and technical support, to fulfill inventory and logistics needs
- Provide support for special projects or initiatives as directed by management
- Complete other duties that may be assigned as required with consideration for quality, safety and efficiency
- Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions
- Help in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team members
- Handle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
- Support senior technicians in cable management and organization within the server racks
At a minimum, you'll need:
- To be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
- The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks
- Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting
- Ensure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude if everything you do
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
- Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks
- Use power equipment to assist the team with safely moving very heavy server racks into position in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines
