JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Handle the receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods. Communicate with Inventory Manager regarding issues or status of merchandise. Be flexible to support changing priorities and needs.
Essential Functions
- Provide support for Inventory Supervisor
- Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Deliver or route materials to departments.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
- Confer or correspond with appropriate person(s) to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, or storage.
- Ensure proper stock levels in stores
- Understand warranty/returns policy per vendor
- Date and rotate product
- Clean and maintain the inventory closet
- Conduct physical inventory of the inventory closet
- Move inventory around in the market
- Help with RA process

Identifies and resolves potential conflicts, constraints, or deviations in the scheduling plan to meet customer, unit, function and business needs. Initial point of contact for carriers (all Modes of Transportation (MOT) - Road, Rail & Marine) to inform them of scheduling plan exceptions. Utilizes Material Flow Work Process knowledge to develop and optimize the scheduling plan and proactively resolve any deviations and/or conflicts from the normal shipment process. Develops technical skills on the job to perform routine work activities using existing standard operating procedures. Completes assigned tasks with low degree of supervision.
This role requires that you gain proficiency through on-the-job training and experience. You need either deep skills in this discipline or knowledge of a range of processes, procedures, and systems. You also need a broad understanding of the job and know how to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks. You should understand how your team works with others to accomplish objectives and be able to exchange detailed, complicated information with other team members.
It is your responsibility to evaluate analytical or scientific problems in unusual situations and select solutions based on established procedures. - Reviews, identifies and resolves constraints and/or restrictions that may impact the ability to fulfill requests
- Serves as the initial contact for carrier resolution for all Modes of Transportation (MOTs)
- Communicates with site logistics contacts and carriers (all MOTs) to inform them of scheduling plan exceptions
- Acts as subject matter expert for Material Flow (Site Logistics / Logistics) Work Processes within unit//site
- Identifies all resources required to successfully, safely, accurately, and efficiently complete work requests
- Identifies constraints and/or restrictions that may impact the ability to fulfill work requests
- Monitors work request completion and take appropriate action and creates and distributes scheduling plan (inbound/outbound)
- Verifies that the schedule can be met within the current status of logistics operations
- Communicates with appropriate resources, via proper procedures, to coordinate required services within specified timelines
- Reviews the scheduling plan for completeness, manage changes, exceptions, and facilitate resolution of issues
- Verifies all shipment details for accuracy and completeness and addresses scheduling exceptions (non-compliances)
- Gathers, monitors, reviews, and communicates scheduling performance measures within work processes to appropriate partners
- Records necessary Diamond/SAP system entries in a timely and efficient manner by completing activities such as: shipping, receipt process, and storing/blending production orders
- Serves as Dow sponsor for truck and rail contingent staff, managing onboard/offboarding and training.
- Serves as influential leader for contingent staff in truck and rail offices.
Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

As a member of the Logistics team, the Bilingual Logistics Coordinator is a critical role and is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of a company. Logistics Coordinator ensures efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction. This position does have the flexibility to work remotely; onsite presence will be required for training and meetings on an ongoing basis.

- Transportation & Shipping Coordination
- Plan and track shipments through process to ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers

This job operates in a professional office, warehouse, and event environment.
In the office, this is largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptop, and telephone will be required. In the warehouse, physically demanding work may be required. The ability to often lift heavy items is essential.
During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (five hours plus) is required. Control Associate works effectively in a team environment with warehouse, sales and supply chain personnel.

Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Interpret/communicate & train safety policies/practices to ensure safe work practices are followed.
+ Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks.
+ Inspect material for quality requirements.
+ Stocking and transferring material, tools, and equipment to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bind location, size, type, style, and length.
+ Mark the material with the correct identifying information.
+ Transfer material to and from the shops for modification purposes.
+ Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as required.
+ Enter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into the MRC Global-specific software, using a handheld scanner as appropriate.
+ Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer; load onto the correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment.
+ Maintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits.
+ Reviewing various periodic reports for content, such as traffic and mill test reports.
+ Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments.
+ Complete cycle counts in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
+ Work with MRC Global purchasing for authorization to return non-conforming materials.
+ File defective goods claims with MRC Global Rep.
+ Maintain the IR (irregular goods) inventory report.

+ Monitor returned goods in the warehouse / RDC that have not yet been processed.
+ Assist Warehouse Manager/Supervisor in delegating daily duties and assignments to warehouse personnel.
+ Lead and direct Warehouse Associates in work duties when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality. Inspect feature tolerances by selecting the tool with the required accuracy
Perform complex inspections on mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include but is not limited to purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings
Program and setup Articulating Arm (ex. Romer), CMMs to achieve the desired inspections
Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design and specification requirements
Inspect flight hardware at the supplier according to engineering drawings, purchase order(s), industry standards, and SpaceX specifications
Ensure that all parts meet SpaceX specifications and standards or that any non-conformance is documented at the supplier
Support the development of inspection plans at suppliers
Support supplier corrective action process, including verifying corrective action implementation
Travel up to 30% of the time to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies at supplier sites
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
3+ years of precision mechanical inspection experience
