Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Logistics Coordinator for our Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Distribution Centers located in Portland, OR .
Our Team
Our Logistics Coordinators are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers. Georgia-Pacific Northwest Service Centers operates two very large distribution centers in the Portland, Oregon area. We ship and receive approximately 95,000 trucks each year, carrying your favorite brands including Quilted Northern Bath Tissue, Brawny® Towels, Dixie plates, cups and bowls, as well as other items found in public establishments, including enMotion® towels and dispensers. We're a business that is consistently growing and innovating.
Shifts include days and nights, as well as weekends and holidays. While the regular schedule will be a dayshift schedule, applicants need to be able to work any shift.
For this role we anticipate paying $25 hourly.
What You Will Do
- Provide customer service to the truck drivers, providing them with appropriate paperwork and instructing them on where to park their trailers
- Manage the workload of incoming and outgoing freight
- Dispatch work to the forklift drivers on the warehouse floor
- Accurately process shipping paperwork
- Greet and check in visitors
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with high volume numerical datasets in computer systems while meeting multiple deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- One or more years of office/clerical experience
- Experience in warehousing, transportation, or inventory control

ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a full-time Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This position is based in our Portland office and will report directly to the Director of Operations. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge of the wine industry and experience in procurement and international logistics. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who will integrate seamlessly into the Operations Team and contribute to the overall success of our growing wholesale operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Manage the inventory procurement process work with sales and brand leadership to maintain proper stock levels, manage to target days on hand, and monitor inventory turn by supplier, brand, and SKU.
- Process all purchase orders with our ERP system, maintaining appropriate turnaround time with suppliers and carriers (both foreign and domestic).
- Communicate inventory statuses with the sales team such as vintage transitions, replenishment dates, allocations, out of stocks, etc.
- Oversee logistics with regards to carrier assignments, customs documentation, warehouse breakdowns, etc.
- Oversee and participate in inventory management cycle counts, quarterly inventories track down & reconcile missing inventory.
- Maintain item master list and purchase order report with logistics detail (container information, equipment details, shipping dates and arrivals, etc.)

The goal is to coordinate drivers and routes using ROM, Google Maps, and Excel.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
