The ideal person will utilize leadership, logistics experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems. What You Will Do

  • Direct the flow of resources based on available labor and needs of shift.
  • Communicate with internal resources in other departments to support operational material flow.
  • Develop team members into Principled Entrepreneurs through an effective organizational structure, including Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations connected to the facility vision
  • Build and support a culture where employees identify risks and work to reduce them
  • Communicate with external resources (KBX, Deployment, Customer Service, Third Party Warehouse, OTR Drivers) to ensure flow of information to needed parties based on shipments and production inputs.
  • Support Logistics team with system troubleshoot to deliver consistent flow of materials.
  • M onitor all assets in department for impacts that may disrupt operation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Previous warehouse/logistics experience
  • Computer experience - demonstrate ability to fully function in multiple system/warehouse applications
  • Proven ability to take initiative and effectively lead team members
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers
  • Ability to problem-solve and have attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle any competing demands
  • Experience using Kronos and/or SAP or other CMMS

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Experience managing and engaging a team in continuous improvement
  • Experience working and leading in a union environment

POSITION SUMMARY

Support efforts and assures delivery of equipment, supplies, and related services to on and off base training locations. Support logistical operations that result in a high degree of efficiency and quality to ensure cost effective results. Ensures activities comply with, applicable federal, state, and Centerra/ITP-OST policies and procedures and are performed in accordance with contractual agreements with the Department of Energy. Assist with the delegated responsibilities for the development and implementation of Logistical Plans supporting the Office of Secure Transportation (OST) training program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the implementation of logistical support requirements in support of on-site and off-site training exercises.
  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of departmental property management system.
  • Assist in the implementation of a departmental Quality Assurance Program to facilitate customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the implementation of a departmental Security Program providing efficient and cost-effective methods for protecting government owned property and facilities.
  • Contribute to team effort by focusing on Centerra/ITP-OST mission, goals, objectives, and accomplishing tasks and assignments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operate assigned OST government vehicles pursuant to Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience performing government property or logistics
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Use of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift 68 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain license and certification to operate motor vehicles and other specialized equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate DOE security clearance.
  • Ability to travel for training and other OST purposes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office, warehouse, classroom setting, or outdoors on a range in support of training exercises. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, loud noises, and the environment. Business work hours are typically Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours will be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 68 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.

Maximus is currently hiring for Veteran Liaison Logistics Coordinators to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Veteran Liaison Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with transportation vendors to process veteran transportation requests and is the point of contact for incoming calls & e-mails concerning transportation requests.

- Due to contract requirements, only US Citizen or a Green Card holder can be considered for this opportunity.

- For positions on this contract, Maximus will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor. That wage rate will vary depending on locality. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for incoming calls and e-mail inquiries for all transportation requests.
- Coordinate with contracted and non-contracted transportation vendors to process domestic Veteran transportation requests.
- Initiate and submit SMOT requests for transportation to VA for approval per VES protocol and VA guidelines.
- Maintain and update various Excel spreadsheets of Logistics Department statistical data daily.
- Perform all general administrative duties as assigned.

Please note upon hire, Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus Co. will provide all necessary computer equipment that is to be utilized to fulfil the duties of your role. New hires will not be exempt from using company provided equipment.

Home Office Requirements Using Maximus-Provided Equipment:
