As a Machine Technician, you will perform work within a union environment to maintain equipment, systems, and processes supporting manufacturing production. You will be responsible for ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of the automotive supplier setting. The opening is primarily for 2nd and 3rd shift. Candidates must be open to working all shifts IF NEEDED, ideally you will stay on your desired shift unless there is immediate coverage needed.
+ Check for backlash in a ball screw using an indicator, and perform removal and proper bearing setup and installation of ball screw assembly.
+ Realign turret heads, spindles, chucks, etc., using indicators, and carry out spindle removal and rebuild tasks.
+ Read blueprints related to bearing stack up and hydraulic systems for effective equipment handling.
+ Remove and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and pumps, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
+ Operate mobile cranes and perform rigging tasks, holding a valid Mobile Crane License.
+ Collaborate effectively with team members and work well within teams.
+ Three to five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an automotive supplier company.
+ Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
+ Understanding of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.
+ Proficient in mechanical aptitude and maintenance technician duties.
+ Experience with 3-phase electrical systems.
+ Hydraulic pump repair and machine repair expertise.
+ Possession of a certified Journeyman's card or similar certification.
+ Apprenticeship certification or four years of documented experience in the trade.
**Work Environment**
The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-sensitive. Employees must be open to working all three shifts, with training on the first shift for 2 weeks to 2 months before transitioning to either the second or third shift due to seniority. This union environment requires safety gear including steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs.

The ISO Machine Technician is responsible for producing high quality commercial roofing products at the Peru Plant through accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of all manufacturing processes. The Machine Technician will perform various, rotating duties relating to all manufacturing operations, including Raw Material, Facer Unwind, Platform, Cross Cut, Multi-blade, Downstacker, Hooder, Footer, Foot / Panel saws, and Media blaster. He or she will support the managers and all plant staff to meet Peru's operational goals and perform duties as assigned. Employees will contribute to a highly motivated and positive environment.
The Machine Technician reports to the Production Supervisor under the direction of the Lead Technician. The Machine Technician must be familiar with all areas of the foam making process along with any off-line equipment associated with the production line. It is the responsibility of all Technicians to operate in a safe manner, and monitor quality of the product we produce through the use of process specifications, Plant RCN, PCN, and online testing.
**Schedule**
Candidates must initially have the flexibility to work any assigned shift based on customer demand. Once the need is identified, this position will transition to straight afternoon / evening shift to support increased volume. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required by business needs.

5. General knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques, with additional training on numerically controlled machine tools and operations. Good mechanical aptitude needed to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot various combinations and sequences of machining operations.
6. Good communication skills and leadership abilities to effectively train and work with others. Ability to organize work priorities and materials, while paying close attention to details.
7. Strong team skills are essential.
8. One year CNC Machining or equivalent experience.
9. Ability to work without supervision in small groups and organize work priorities and material while paying close attention to detail.
10. Must be able to work and travel independently.
11. Must be fluent in English.
12. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel and climb for performing machine set-ups, mechanical and maintenance adjustments, repairs and assemblies. **Position Summary**
Bridgestone's Passenger and Light Truck Tire (PSR/LTR) and Off Road Radial Tire (AOR) plants located in Aiken County, SC is looking for Machine Technicians (MT). Between the 2 plants, they currently employ approximately 1,900 team members. Applicants will be applying for consideration at either the PSR/LTR or AOR tire facility.

Competitive Compensation
Machine Technicians have starting wages of $22 and can progress up to $2 per hour. Our Machine Technicians have been receiving a weekly results sharing bonus since the start of our facility in 1998.
Example: 2022 Averages in Pay w/ Variable Bonus Plan 7.82% per week
Fully Skilled at 30 per hour plus Result Sharing 32.35/hr.
