Florida Detroit Diesel Allison is searching for a Facility Maintenance person.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing standard maintenance and repair on equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings and grounds, including painting, insulating, pipe fitting, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, and/or repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance activities, following checklists.
• Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation.
• Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures such as sheds and outbuildings.
• Lay brick to repair and maintain buildings, walls, arches and other structures.

Qualifications

A Brief Overview

The Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems, equipment, and

infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient facility. This position involves hands-on work,

troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors to address maintenance needs.

What you will do

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and

lighting. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues.

· Maintain and repair facility equipment, such as boilers, compressors, and generators. Ensure compliance

with manufacturer guidelines and operational standards.

· Conduct safety checks on facilities and equipment to meet regulatory and company standards. Ensure

proper functioning of fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.

· Work with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair tasks. Oversee vendor work

to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.

· Support facility upgrades and renovation projects.

Education Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) or

· trade school or technical certifications preferred (Preferred)

Experience Qualifications

· 1-3 years in facilities maintenance or a related field (Required)

· 1-3 years operating and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. (Required)

Position Summary:

The Material Handler 1 is responsible for moving products using a forklift/pallet jack within the warehouse. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.

• Move products and/or pallets from one location to another using a forklift or pallet jack.

• Maintenance of the trash dock. Clean/sanitize the compactor and surrounding dock area. Empty trash compactors when full.

• Monitor trash dumpsters to ensure items/products are being disposed of properly. Bail plastic and cardboard materials to load onto the trailer.

• Monitor inventory of iGPS and wooden pallets and report to the Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor.

• Maintain a clean working environment, this includes but is not limited to: Warehouse areas, Coolers, Docks and Trailers

• Ensures all areas remain cleaned and tools are returned to rightful locations

• Perform other duties as assigned.

2. Manage the maintenance of facilities and manufacturing tools utilizing superior mechanical knowledge. Manage on-site maintenance staff and qualified contractors.

3. Develop a multi-level Total Product Maintenance (TPM) to optimize equipment effectiveness.

5. Develop and maintain a budget.

6. Report to our VP of Manufacturing and dotted line to our Facilities Service Center Manager.

Capabilities and Competencies:

Qualifications

Qualifications:

3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.

4. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and experience with electrical wiring and control systems.

6. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

Experience:

The role of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of critical equipment and Facility infrastructure. The Maintenance Supervisor must lead Skilled Tradesmen, and OEM Service Providers to provide high-level service delivery to optimize the Total Productive Maintenance process. Must lead your team to perform Preventative Maintenance, reactive work order, and minor project tasks. The ideal candidate should have prior supervisor and maintenance background in a represented worker environment.

The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager of the Maintenance Department on first shift each Mon-Fri.

Experience & Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on industry experience required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and present complicated information clearly. Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access)
• Strong time management skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Must have basic knowledge of building systems including but not limited to
o General building HVAC

o Motor & Pump Systems
o Piping Systems
o Electrical Systems
o General Building Repair

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage Electrician, Millwright, Machine Repair, & Pipefitter Tradesmen to optimize maintenance capabilities through skills development, tools and technology
• Manage Vendor support for OEM and other outside service providers, remaining compliant with GM Management of Change (MOC), and Safety Contract Management (SCM) processes
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical control systems on critical equipment
• Deliver Continuous Improvement on Total Productive Maintenance Metrics
• Provide daily Fast Response reporting for customer disruptions
• Support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) and Business Plan Development (BPD) processes
• Support Interruption Process to conduct weekend and holiday shutdown planning through collaboration with Department Leads and Plant Engineering
• Operate managed labor following the current JLL / UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Perform all customer service within the contract language of the Master Service Agreement
• Manage Corrigo and Maximo Work Order processes to satisfy customer needs and KPI metrics
• Perform Preventative & Predictive Maintenance to achieve maximum useful life of equipment
• Support continuous improvement and culture for excellence for the following measurables and objectives:
o Support KPI Performance Metrics
o Perform Timely Safety Incident Reporting and Monitoring
o Maintain zero Recordable and Lost Work Day Case Injuries
o Ensure 100% Safety PM Completion & Corrective Maintenance
o Lead Safe Work Practices through pre-task safety planning
o Support cost saving initiatives

People Management Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely completion of annual performance goals for Client, People, Growth, Cost & Environment
• Maintain "0" Recordable and Lost Work Day Case Injuries
• Embrace JLL #1 Team Culture to provide individual & team recognition
• Coordinate vacation scheduling and other absence coverage
• Perform timely Safety Incident Reporting and Corrective Action
• Support the Training Coordinator role to maintain required employee training schedules
• Complete all scheduled training before required date
• On-Call Responsibilities
• Provide Supervisor responsibilities for the following Tradesmen
o Machine Repair
o Electricians
o Pipe Fitter
o Millwright
o HVAC

Compensation

AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.

The compensation for this position is: $18.05 per hour - $19 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

Safety Compliance

• Work in a safe manner with tools and equipment while also monitoring safety compliance of theatre associates.
• Follow guidelines as outlined in the Health and Safety section of AMC's Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain all life safety systems and ensure work orders are completed well in advance of scheduled inspections.

Daily/Weekly Responsibilities

• Conduct daily and weekly facility inspections for both interior and exterior areas making note of repairs, maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
• Prioritize repairs, maintenance, and cleaning tasks to ensure facilities are clean, safe and in good repair.
• Order and maintain appropriate quantity of parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs and maintenance are completed.
• Follow up on repairs and maintenance tasks completed by theatre team to ensure timely and proper completion of work.
• Confirm proper completion of vendor work orders and approve invoicing in a timely manner.
• Maintain a primary facility list of repairs in order of priority that is easily accessible by theatre management.
• Complete all other functions and assignments as assigned by the General Manager/Senior Manager (where applicable).
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance as scheduled in accordance with AMC's Management Work Schedule Policy.

Leadership

• Develop & execute strategic facility action plans for continuous improvement.
• Identify and select qualified associates to be trained and assist with various cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Delegate appropriate facility tasks to qualified team members.
• Schedule and conduct routine facility walkthroughs with the General Manager to review overall facility condition.
• Schedule and conduct routine facility walkthroughs with the Janitorial staff to review overall cleanliness, proper working condition of equipment, and stocking of supplies.
• Meet with vendors to clarify scope of work requested prior to start of facility repairs (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing, Electric, Concession equipment)
• Coordinate with approved AMC vendors to submit necessary work orders for repairs when tasks exceed the theatre team's capabilities.

What We Need From You

• Must be at least 18 years old; other location-specific age requirements may apply.
• Six months supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
• Possess the ability and mechanical aptitude to safely troubleshoot and make basic facility repairs including, but not limited to, painting, wallpapering, carpeting, and plumbing.
• Possess the ability to safely use chemicals and basic tools to complete various theatre equipment repairs and maintenance.
