Job Description
The Industrial Engineer is a dynamic problem-solver, change agent, resource, designer, and project manager. You will be responsible for addressing manufacturing challenges and driving initiatives such as Process Flows, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S methodologies. Your objective is to provide new, streamlined processes and efficiencies for the plant.
Responsibilities
+ Drive manufacturing initiatives including Process Flows, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S methodologies.
+ Evaluate large data sets to identify areas for improvement.
+ Implement Lean Six Sigma practices to enhance manufacturing processes.
+ Design efficient workflows and processes to optimize production.
+ Manage projects and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
+ Collaborate with production teams to improve line balancing and overall equipment effectiveness.
Essential Skills
+ Industrial engineering expertise.
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma and manufacturing engineering.
+ Ability to conduct time studies and process engineering.
+ Skill in tooling, design, and engineering using AutoCAD.
+ Project management capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
+ Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility spanning almost 500,000 square feet. The facility produces sheet metal shelving units, similar to those found in large retail stores like Walmart or Target. It is an older building with older equipment, which contributes to a noisy atmosphere due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are strategically located above the manufacturing floor for easy access to production lines and meetings. Engineers primarily spend their time on the floor, collaborating with production support and working on projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:

- Manufacturing experience related to manufacturing of cast materials, machining, and process control documentation.
- Experience in managing at least 2+ years of large-scale capital project management including concept development, project funding and execution of large-scale capital projects.
- Domestic Relocation is available for this position.

JOB DUTIES:
- Follow NCI (New Capital Introduction) Process Flow/Gate Reviews.
- Collaborate with customer groups, Facilities / Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, EHS, accounting and purchasing are involved in the approval process.
- Be responsible to achieve desired outputs on multiple concurrent individual and team projects.
- Develop plans for facilities projects, prepare and establish priorities for cost effectiveness, manage budgeting and purchasing matters pertaining to these projects.
- Work with Internal / External Suppliers to plan & implement facility wide projects to assure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products.
- Coordinate compatibility of existing and new assets and/or systems.
- Provide direction and guidance to other project owners to assure the most efficient and sustainable effect on the facility.
- Ensure implementation of modern technology and verify the effectiveness related to facility processes modifications.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience OR 2-year Engineering / Manufacturing Technology degree with 6+ years of experience OR 8+ years of relevant experience in technical discipline
- 2+ years' experience in managing capital projects.
- Demonstrated direct/indirect leadership abilities.
- Foundry process experience related to molding, core make, melting/holding furnaces, iron pouring or casting cleaning.
- Manufacturing experience related to manufacturing of cast materials, induction hardening processes and process control documentation.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and/or manufacturing standards and practices.
