**General Summary**
A Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet specified standards and requirements. The primary focus is on maintaining the quality of the construction process and the final product.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Must have the ability to read, and interpret construction drawings
+ Perform difficult and challenging construction and project management functions including planning, directing and budgeting for assigned projects.
+ Responsible for coordinating inspections with the government, documenting findings, and resolving all deficiencies.
+ Responsible for government inspections and subcontract inspections for definable feature of work.
+ Review, approve and manage deliverables.
+ Review and assist with project design plan review to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.
+ Responsible for assisting on the development of agendas for construction updates and progress meetings
+ Perform desktop publishing. Creates and assists in the development of visual presentations for the section.
+ This position may also consult with engineering staff and other technical personnel as required.
+ Responsible for keeping current on government regulations and commercial trends. Monitors project compliance requirements to ensure compliance with all required codes and standards
+ Maintain customer relations through communication both face to face, and digital. Professional appearance is desirable.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements**
+ Knowledge of U.S. Government procurement regulations and labor laws desirable
+ Must have or be able to pass Corps of Engineers CQM class for contractors
+ Advanced management and employee, and customer relations skills.
+ Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
+ Experience with P6 (Oracle) is preferred.
+ Experience with ProCore is preferred
+ Advanced attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands.
**Work Experience**
+ 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
+ Experience with US Corps of Engineers, government contracting and general construction
+ 4 years of Supervisory experience preferred
**Education, Licenses and Certification**

+ High School Diploma

+ Completion of OSHA 30-hour General Industry course
+ Certified Safety, Environmental and Emergency Manager (CSEM) preferred
+ Within 8 months of reporting on site the SSO will attend the following classes provided by the American Society of Hospital Engineers: NFPA 101 for Healthcare (3 day course), NFPA 99 (3 day course), and ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (2 day course). The contractor will provide to the COR a copy of the certificate of completion for each of these courses

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for overall management and coordination of the contract and shall act as the official point for contract quality control with the Government. The QCM is authorized to commit the organization’s resources as necessary to perform the requirements of the contract quality control program. The QCM must have the skills, knowledge and experience to manage all aspects of the contract.

· Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Executes reports, inspections and logs as required by the contract.
· Provides field information/specifications to prepare estimates for work added to or deleted from the contract.

This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections. "
Task Requirements:
- Performs duties as QC Inspector/QAR on P-3 aircraft in support of Customs Border Protection (CBP).
- Inspect the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the P-3 aircraft.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Ensure P3 Aircraft Airworthiness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 20 years' experience and 15 years' experience supporting P-3 and/or EP-3E aircraft.
- Operational experience vs. manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience with P-3 platform.
- 8 years experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.
- Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) or equivalent.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years' additional education and/or related experience.
- A minimum of 4 years experience on P-3 or similar platform.
- A minimum of 4 years of practical experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing situations to discover facts, knowledge, and interpretations to carry out prescribed actions(s).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with aircraft logbooks and airworthiness release of aircraft.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- A current U.S. passport, accept period time away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
- A current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
- Ability to obtain CBP Secret clearance
Compensation
$49.65/hour
Other Compensation
Employees that waive medical insurance, receive an opt-out payment of $2.00 per hour paid to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Benefits
Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, short term disability, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI's 401k plan. Employees accrue 3.07 hours of vacation and 2.15 hours of personal paid time per pay period. KAI union employees working for at CBP have 10 paid holidays.
Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
