This critical position will support the design and development of products, while leading the qualification and production efforts for our rapidly growing electronic and electro-mechanical products portfolio. This position will help establish and lead the process of taking our concepts to production. The ideal candidate will have experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with experience in design for manufacturability and supporting low and/or high-rate production initiatives. Candidate will need to enjoy not just leading but also being hands on, executing early prototyping and manufacturing efforts.

This role will be critical in supporting product design, design and fabrication of special equipment, tooling and fixturing for product assembly and testing, and development/generation of critical processes and work instructions for each new product. Candidate will need to be comfortable working across the organization to build relationships and establish a strong, efficient and reliable electro-mechanical manufacturing process. This will include working closely with design engineers, helping to understand the impact of design changes on the long term producibility of the products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in developing manufacturing and test processes for a variety of products
  • Assist engineering and operations team in transition from development to production, including reviewing designs and providing design feedback related to manufacturability
  • Creating and maintaining work instructions
  • Assist operations and manufacturing teams in setting up production lines, including new equipment selection, designing tooling and fixtures to support efficient production and testing
  • Perform capacity analysis including performing time studies as well as understanding estimates of touch and support labor required to accurately price production efforts

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (other STEM related disciplines will be considered) and at least 2 years of directly related experience
  • Candidate must demonstrate leadership experience, specifically working across teams to establish and lead electro-mechanical production, along with an ability to mentor engineering staff
  • Preferred candidate will have working knowledge or certification related to IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620

+ Review Federal and Multi-State Partnership tax returns
+ Lead client relationships on day to day tax matters supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services
+ Research and consult on technical matters and special projects
+ Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service
+ Actively participate in business development efforts to include working collaboratively with partners and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with client prospects
+ Manage, train and develop staff. Participate in the performance review process

+ Attain a thorough technical competency and industry specific expertise through CPE, firm/industry group events, webinars, etc.
+ Review tax-related information to include tax provisions, depreciation schedules, property tax returns, etc.
+ Lead multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning
+ Prepare and review client correspondence (letter, e-mail, etc.)
+ Actively participate in firm sponsored events for industry-specific and/or regional clients and prospects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications:
+ Requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ CPA certification required in the respective state in which they are practicing
+ Requires at 5+ years of job related experience
+ Manufacturing and retail distribution experience required
+ Requires prior accounting and/or tax experience
+ Subject matter leader in similar accounting and/or tax services
+ Management and/or mentoring experience with other staff members
+ Experience making recommendations to management
+ Prior public accounting experience desired

+ Manage audit, review, compilation engagements, and multiple teams. Provide performance feedback to all members of those teams when engagements end
+ Partner with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners in risk assessment, audit procedures, and reporting .
+ Oversee daily operations of the audit engagement. From staffing, planning, budgeting, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and the conclusion
+ Research and communicate guidance on complex accounting matters and transactions
+ Assist clients with GAAP compliance and the adoption of FASB Accounting Standard Updates . Address client concerns and resolve problems as they arise while communicating proactively and promptly
+ Serve as an instructor in the firm, department training programs, and meetings
+ Take part in and provide leadership in community, networking, and business development activities
