Responsible for developing, designing, and implementing process improvements to automated equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Collect and record production metrics, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements
-Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, preventative maintenance procedures and ensure equipment is running at optimal efficiency
-Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiency, yields, costs, and changeovers
-Perform tests throughout stages of production to determine degree of control over process variables
-Review product failure data, tests and analyses to troubleshoot problems
-Design and modify equipment to correct performance issues
-Investigate and evaluate new and existing manufacturing technology
-Introduce new automation to improve manufacturing methods
-Support R&D and Engineering with process & test development, prototyping, design verification, SPC process optimization & validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), and failure modes effect analysis (FMEA).
-Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes and for existing work instructions.
-Lead cross-functional teams throughout the organization to objectively assess and improve process performance
-Ensure proper training of personnel and maintain qualified personnel to support a continuous improvement culture

Pay and Benefits

Utilizes six sigma, lean, design control, and validation principles to create robust processes. Ideal candidates would have the following qualifications:

· At least three years weld inspection experience

· At least three years experience using handheld measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges

· At least one year experience using laser trackers

· Ability to read and interpret complex drawings

· Thorough understanding of GD&T

· Be certifiable to a Level 2 in accordance with SNT-TC-1A in at least two of the following NDT methods: VT, PT, MT, UT

· Possess a current CWI certification or meet the qualification requirements to be certified

· Proficient using Microsoft Office products

· Willingness to learn new things

· Be able to work well with little supervision

· Ability to communicate criticism in a manner that avoids hard feelings, and ability to advocate quality improvements in a manner that will foster concurrence rather than resistance

· Ability to be a leader in groups of peers from production to QC

· Good attendance

· Must be able to read and write in English

· Must be able to use common sense and good judgement and perform work in a safe manner

Physical Requirements:

• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

QualificationsQualifications:

Level III: 55,000 - 62,100

• High School Diploma and 6-10 Years Experience.

• Proficient understanding of testing and troubleshooting of LRUs and circuit cards down to the component level including interpretation of a variety of schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Perform rework on circuit card assemblies using basic soldering skills to remove and replace through hole and SMT components.
• Minimal guidance from test engineer.
