Join the transformation!JOB SUMMARY:The Business Development Manager (Mining) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the North American mining industry. The Business Development Manager creates the growth strategy for his/her accounts and executes the sales process to achieve growth targets and customer satisfaction objectives. The territory consists of North America. The home office for this role can be located anywhere suitable in U.S. Will consider other locations as appropriate.Duties:Global Account ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for strategic mining customers.Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy to drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership.Coordinate with global internal teams (engineering, product, operations) to meet customer expectations and deliver tailored solutions.New Business Acquisition:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the NA mining industry, focusing on OEMs, EPCs, and end users.Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.Develop proposals, present solutions, and close deals that align with customer needs and company capabilities.Market & Customer Insights:Monitor market trends, customer activities, and competitor strategies to inform business strategy.Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams to shape offerings and campaigns.Collaboration & Reporting:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success.Prepare regular reports on account performance, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives for leadership.Main Performance Indicators:Sales Quota for assigned territoryTotal Pipeline in assigned territoryIndividual KPI's as assigned by Sales ManagerQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus).7+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience in the mining or industrial automation sectors.Proven success in managing large, complex global accounts and securing new business.Strong knowledge of industrial automation technologies (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, robotics, remote monitoring).Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel 30% or more of a calendar year.Yokogawa is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
