Role Summary:

This Market Research Manager collaborates with markets around the world to provide the Commercial (Brand & Sales) and New Product Teams guidance & insight based on a solid understanding of the consumer for assigned categories. They provide insights through the execution of primary and secondary marketing research and analytical support for current and/or emerging products. This includes consumer research to assess and understand innovation, product performance, strategic positioning, message studies, tactical marketing programs, shopper behavior and strategic initiatives. The role also includes analysis of existing research & syndicated data sources to help with market assessments.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Designs, plans and manages marketing research projects.
  • Works to define appropriate methodology and overall research plan consistent with business goals
  • Identifies and partners with external agencies & platforms for survey creation, data collection & data analysis
  • Review all research materials to ensure validity of research
  • Provide input as necessary to marketing and agencies in the development of materials for testing
  • Provide actionable recommendations grounded in insights from marketing research, syndicated data, business situation, and realities
  • Provide brand planning & strategy assistance through a solid understanding of the consumer
  • Work with support functions as necessary to address business questions with all relevant information and support related strategic efforts
  • Manage projects within budgets, schedules, corporate, legal & regulatory requirements, and strictly adhere to relevant policies & SOPs
  • Collaborate with International markets and cross-functional teams and present key findings to senior leadership to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Apprise the organization of evolving consumer demographics, behaviors, and other trends relative to assigned brands and categories using all available information sources including secondary studies, syndicated data and custom research
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Psychology, Finance, other quantitative disciplines, or related Life science. Master's degree in marketing analytics or a business discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience with specific focus in global marketing research with substantial experience turning business objectives and needs into a customized marketing research plan, preferably within consumer-packaged good companies and supporting innovation process.
  • Proven experience in Global market research, consumer insights, or related roles, especially in priority markets (Asia including China & Japan, Europe, & Latin America).
  • Knowledge of qualitative & quantitative research methodologies, and data sources, and ideally has experience with DIY market research software or platforms.
  • Experience integrating diverse sources of information, formulating business-relevant, and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in project management and working in cross-functional teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,100 - $164,600. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

As a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Associate Market Research Manager position may include: Independently manage a book of survey projects across U.S.-based client accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. Lead client intake and scoping calls to assess research needs, determine feasibility, and provide accurate pricing and sampling recommendations. Program surveys with straightforward logic and collaborate with external consultants for more advanced builds. Mentor and support Analysts ability to balance workloads and guiding them on methodology, project flow, and best practices. Oversee vendor relationships, including sample sourcing and quote management, to ensure smooth execution of live survey projects. Conduct quality checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and client readiness. Use tools like ERM, CRM, and PowerBI to track project progress, review client activity, and support team reporting. Prepare and deliver clear, insightful findings in client-ready formats. Serve as a backup to the Market Research Manager when needed and support team initiatives.
