**Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)**
In short, the Diagnostic Technician includes bumper-to-bumper repairs, part replacements and all advanced repairs and builds. The great part, no customers, ever - just you doing what you do best! Fixing Cars!
**In long, our Diagnostic Technicians are responsible for:**
+ Mechanically inspecting vehicles for safety and drivability while documenting findings into our inventory management system.
+ Working with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.
+ Advanced automotive repairs.
+ Must be proficient in the Cooling, braking, charging, steering/suspension, AC and electrical system Components.
+ Identifying and completing repairs effectively the first time, to minimize re-work and delays in production.
+ Test driving repaired vehicles to ensure that the problem has been completely fixed.
+ Work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)**
+ Industry Experience. Minimum of 5 years on the job experience performing light to medium line work. (Brakes, Engine, Steering/Suspension, Cooling, A/C, Electrical). ASE certified a plus, but not required.
+ Plays well with others. You will be working in a high-functioning team environment. We work together to win together.
+ A mind for the details. Okay we know "detail-oriented" is on about every job description - but we really mean it!
+ Timely. Being "fashionably late" is great outside the job, but on the job you'll need to adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
**Requirements (a.k.a. What You Need to Get the Job Done)**
+ High School Diploma or GED required, ASE Master is nice to have.
+ Vocational/Technical degree or professional experience equivalent.
+ Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ This role typically requires 5+ years of experience and the ability to work on all makes and models (Domestic, European and Asian brands).
+ You must own your own tool set.
Must be able to communicate in English to ensure effective performance of the position in a safety-sensitive/technical environment.

Master/A Technician – Job Description & DutiesAs a Master Technician , you will play a critical role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest safety and performance standards. You will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:Expert Diagnostics & Repairs:
- Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using manufacturer-approved tools and software.
- Perform engine repairs, transmission repairs, drivetrain, suspension, and electrical system troubleshooting .
- Conduct software updates, key fob programming, and advanced recalibrations as needed.
Maintenance & Service:

**Job Description**
To direct maintenance tasks performed by their assigned team members. This role also develops and supports a continuous improvement culture within the team to help meet department goals.
- Ensures that Safety is a priority.
- Ensure all Safety Deviations are immediately attended to on the line and are reported to the Manager. - Monitors PPE adherence of all Team Members and reports deviations to his Manager.

Job Summary
Summary: Performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the facility's engineering and maintenance functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assists in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.

Monitor Building Management System (BMS) performance and maintain/update the system site-wide to ensure proper system operation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Monitor Building Management System performance. Perform system data point monitoring, data point trending, program troubleshooting and changes to the DDC/BMS systems as required by a BMS Tech. Perform annually/ or as required, system and program database backup. Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on the workstation computers and Websup servers as required. Maintain and update JACE licenses and system platform. Modify and maintain BMS graphics. Commission HVAC field controllers and JACE systems. As required/or necessary, modify sequence of operations, add data points, map back data points, create sequence of operation and retrofits/upgrade field controllers.
+ Support and Assist Energy Conservation when needed by performing and creating data points for Utilities meters and Energy Dashboard. Perform system data point monitoring, history, trending, program, troubleshooting, communication and changes to the DDC/BMS systems as required by an Energy Conservation Tech.
+ Perform a daily check to ensure all control systems are online to ensure guest/team member comfort while maintaining maximum energy efficiency. Troubleshooting communication system failures and system performance. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC DDC/BMS hardware system components to ensure efficient operation. Support and assist BMS Tech and Energy Conservation Tech when needed. Responsible for building and supporting station databases and their interface.
+ Makes recommendations for system program changes and upgrades to ensure maximum system performance and ensure maximum energy conservation to systems site-wide. Communicate system changes to HVAC/Refrigeration and affected departments.

Job Description
The Master Engine Rebuild Technician is responsible for the set-up, disassembly/re-assembly, overhaul, and rebuild of Cummins, and/or Caterpillar diesel and natural gas-powered on-highway truck engines and Caterpillar Industrial Engines and related components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
- Perform disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and/or re-assembly of diesel and natural gas-powered on-highway truck engine systems and components, including but not limited to powertrain pumps, motors, and hydraulics components) in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards.
- Research and determine the reusability of parts in accordance with published manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate the ordering of replacement parts with a designated point of contact.
- Test, measure, and adjust engine systems and components. Therein, identify the cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps and failure analysis.
- Prepare and submit detailed, complete, and legible service reports of all inspections and actions performed using prescribed forms and procedures in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and test engines in the frame to determine the root cause of failure, and quote needed parts and labor to perform needed engine repairs.
- Remove engines from vehicles as required to perform out-of-frame overhauls.
- Install engines in vehicles after repairs and overhauls.
- Perform post-installation testing, adjusting, and repairs as necessary.
- Keep supervisor regularly apprised of the status of assigned work and assist in addressing customer questions and concerns.
- Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
- Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education :
Must have a high school education or GED.
Work Experience :
Eight years of experience with at least four years of experience as a service technician working on Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Mack or similar on-highway truck engines or Caterpillar Industrial Engines. Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with multiple engine types, models and manufacturers.
Physical :
Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb beside, onto and underneath various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs. Must be able to effectively see to perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports. Must be able to routinely and physically lift/position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 117 pounds, as well as use a mechanical hoist as needed.
Other :
Must be able to effectively write repair activities on customer work orders. Must have problem-solving skills to apply knowledge, written information and verbal instructions in repairing/servicing unusual and/or unknown technical equipment operational problems. Should have exposure to P.C. base equipment and parts information; Can work independently with minimal supervision.
