***Job Description**: As a Material Handler at DHL, you will be responsible for moving and handling materials and products within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles, operating forklifts and other machinery, and ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, and ensuring that materials are readily available for shipping and production processes. The role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

1. High school diploma or GED and proven experience as Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in logistics field.
2. Warehouse Material Handlers must successfully complete all safety training courses as provided by the Company.
3. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift packages by hand. Must be able to lift 50Lbs.
4. Stand or sit for long periods of time, in addition to delivering materials or tools to site locations to meet customer requirements as needed.
5. Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards, and perform accurate inventory and recording of ordered items.
6. Pass a USG federal background investigation and drug test? The selected individual will have to pass an extensive US government / federal government background check with no felony convictions, and become eligible to achieve and maintain a security clearance
7. Valid driver's license, clean record, and ability to pass Dean/Fluor driving authorization requirements.
8. Controlling operations of a forklift and pallet jack? Prior experience with safe forklift operations a plus.
9. Basic computer skills. (Word, Excel, CMMS, Etc.)
10. Must be a well-organized and detail-oriented person in order to maintain warehouse and material in a clean and organized manner?
11. Strong communication skills are a must.

The Material Handler assists in the day to day operations of receiving, shipping and inventory data entry for Dean/Fluor and government procured materials and equipment. The material handler will work under direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. This position will support a government warehouse located in Bluffdale, UT.

The Material Handler is responsible for utilizing knowledge of Operations, Maintenance, and Repair industry tools and materials to perform logistics tasks such as receiving, inventorying, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the Dean/Fluor warehouse and from suppliers. The Material Handler has a solid understanding of the Dean/Fluor Logistics processes and procedures, implements attention to detail in following logistics procedures and record-keeping, inventories and places incoming orders on shelves, picks materials for internal distribution and use, monitors inventory and communicates shortages, and provides feedback for process improvement.

• Safely and properly move steel to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand, forklift, overhead crane or other equipment. Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift material and guide loads; to climb onto vehicles to tie down and release material being loaded. This is continuous daily activity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet to heights of 5 feet; exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, reach, squat, stand, walk up to 5 miles per day, climb up stairs, ladders and on equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment as necessary.
• Apply proper bundling techniques.
• Configure load based on planned route including multiple stops.
• Maximize load capacity on trailer without sacrificing safety.
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, hammer, pallet trucks, banding machine, micrometer, beam hooks, plate lifting clamps, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment;
• Determine safety issues pertaining to equipment and promptly report them.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The Material Handler will be regularly exposed to the typical weather of the local area.
• Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
• Judge near and far distance to maintain awareness of ongoing work activities of other people and equipment in the area.
