The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
We have a 26 bed state of the art Mom Baby unit where we administer Couplet Care to our patients and their families. We care for 250 mom and their infants each year with an average length of stay at 32 hours. We also have a level III NICU to support us in caring for our Late Preterm Infants and infants at risk.
We also have an in house Pediatric Hospitalist 24/7 to assist with our newborn population. Our nursing care is a 1:3 couplet ratio.

**Essential Functions**
+ **Assess:** Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate). **Minimum Qualifications**
+ Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified or obtain within four (4) years of their hire date.
+ Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Primary Purpose
