Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Production Team Lead that will focus on completing daily objectives. They will be the shop floor leaders of a production area, responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of teams of associates. Foremen will be capable of and responsible for performing all tasks required of Team Leads and must meet the requirements listed below in this job description. Foremen are higher-level Team Leads with demonstrated ability to not only do hands-on work but to successfully supervise, lead, mentor, and train all levels of workers, including Team Leads. Foremen will have the knowledge and ability to perform all tasks while overseeing others' work with minimal instruction and directives from Supervisors and Management. Ideally, Foremen will spend very little of their workdays doing hands-on work and will, instead, concentrate on the remainder of their responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment;
- Ensuring that Production bargained-for staff wears necessary and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Doing hands-on work (in the relevant work discipline --- electrical or assembly) (on all levels), as warranted;
- Coordinating the work of tier-level employees (and Team Lead level for Foremen);
- Collaborating and coordinating with Foremen, Production Supervisor(s), and Manager;
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of production-related documents in compliance with the Car History Book requirements as well as CRRC quality standards;
- Preparing and maintaining daily work and quality records;
- Verifying that properly calibrated tools are being used and documenting such use to maintain proper tool inventory while tools are being used by Production staff;
- Providing guidance, constructive feedback, and training to tier-level workers (and Team Leads for Foremen), as necessary;
- Working independently and with others to improve operational efficiency;
- Working independently and with others to address and resolve issues incurred in the production process;
- Supervising workers under the direction and oversight of Foremen, Supervisor(s), and Production Management (or Supervisor(s) and Management for Foremen); and
- Performing other work, as assigned

Position Summary: An assembler/fabricator team member is responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for products we manufacture and distribute. They check for defects, assemble products, and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and hazards. Production duties vary based on the needs of the warehouse at that time. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and suit the final product. You will use your hands or machines to do the job more precisely. You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. The ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc., and follow them with precision is extremely important. Power tools are a must, i.e., grinders, drills, and saws, and welding experience is a bonus. Attention to detail is a must.Forktruck experience required Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 PM Pay: $19.00-$21 an hour Responsibilities:•Follow all PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety procedures associated with the production area.•Maintain a clean and safe working environment.•Achieve conformance to production goals, product quality, and cost.•Strong desire to learn and share manufacturing processes with the team.•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.•Drill and tap holes in various metal parts.•Perform fabrication processes, including cutting, trimming, and fitting different components to complete assembliesaccording to customer specifications.•Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.•Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.•Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.RequirementsTechnical Skills:•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.•Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.•Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape.•Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division).Additional Tasks:•Following safety policies and procedures set by the organization.•Rotates product and safely moves product using a forklift (when needed).
