The Mechanical Engineering Manager provides technical leadership, plans, organizes, and implements the development of all projects within the Aviation (Design Build) group. The Manager utilizes the technical and managerial skills necessary to ensure successful project completion.
You will be well versed in multiple engineering disciplines specific to Mechanical, Electrical, FP and Plumbing plus possess exceptional project management and leadership experience to provide supervision and guidance to the group to ensure all objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters are met. What You Will Do:- Provide technical expertise to staff, clients, and peers within the organization.
- Builds project teams by assigning group production employees/resources to project managers.
- Assists project managers by developing and reviewing scopes, schedules and time budgets for work to be executed in their group.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure that staff utilization goals are met or exceeded.
- Monitors team performance to ensure group's adherence to agree upon scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Identify, analyze and resolve problems in a pro-active manner.
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients, and employees.
- Support proposal opportunities that are strategically aligned with your group.
- Participates in the RFP/RFQ process including, site visits, client meetings, scope development, preparation of project approach, technical execution plans, schedules, and interviews.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required

The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Impact
+ Collaborate with clients to design thermal power generation facilities across the USA
+ Work with cross disciplinary teams to provide complete detailed designs, as well as Owner's Engineer services
+ Produce or check GT Pro models for project optimization
+ Assess facility performance based on technology and climate.

Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**

This will be a remote Mechanical Analysis position to support Power Uprates.
Our electric power generation clients are seeking to increase the power output of their existing power plants to meet the electric demands. This is expanding work in the nuclear industry. You will work on major systems, equipment and plant process in the following areas:
+ Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry.
+ Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status.
+ Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
+ Manage resources/resource loading and develop estimates for task completion and budget development.
+ Review calculations related to heat balances, power train pumps, heat exchangers, condenser/heat sink, and plant hazards to support client recommendations and reviews.
+ Review task reports and equipment evaluations that present technical information in a clear and concise manner to meet client requirements.
+ Review equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to client needs to support the proposed power uprate.
+ Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective.
+ Interface with vendors to perform document reviews, ensure equipment compliance with specifications and needs of the plant.
+ Lead and mentor junior engineering staff on power plant engineering technical tasks.
+ Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.
+ Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.

Job Description
Our electric power generation clients are seeking to increase the power output of their existing power plants to meet the electric demands. This is expanding work in the nuclear industry. You will work on major systems, equipment and plant process in the following areas:
+ Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry.
+ Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status.
+ Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
+ Manage resources/resource loading and develop estimates for task completion and budget development.
+ Review calculations related to heat balances, power train pumps, heat exchangers, condenser/heat sink, and plant hazards to support client recommendations and reviews.
+ Review task reports and equipment evaluations that present technical information in a clear and concise manner to meet client requirements.
+ Review equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to client needs to support the proposed power uprate.
+ Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective.
+ Interface with vendors to perform document reviews, ensure equipment compliance with specifications and needs of the plant.
+ Lead and mentor junior engineering staff on power plant engineering technical tasks.
+ Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.
+ Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

This direct-hire opportunity places you at the forefront of a multibillion-dollar industry experiencing exponential growth. Our Mission Critical practice is international in scope and involves exciting, collaborative work across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will focus on mechanical engineering for data center projects. Specific areas of responsibility include:
+ Designing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure a useful and safe workplace.
+ Advising clients regarding mechanical systems and requirements, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
+ Monitoring installation of designed equipment and systems for compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
+ Participating in developing design criteria for the air and water sides of building mechanical systems.
+ Reviewing mechanical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
+ Developing concept studies and designs.
There is also an opportunity to develop project management skills, including:
+ Assisting Project Managers with day-to-day management of project execution, deliverables, quality, schedule, contracts, subcontracts, proposals, and client interface.
+ Facilitating and executing contract administration responsibilities, including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claim mitigation.
+ Assisting in project reporting for status, risks, schedule, and cost.
+ Enforcing standards and practices.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Required Criteria:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
+ Minimum of 7 years of related mechanical design experience.
+ Knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and codes.
+ Expert software and computer skills, including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D rendering programs, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Profession Engineering license.
Preferred Criteria:
+ Data center or telecommunication facility experience.
+ Knowledge of critical facility electrical design.
+ Ability to write specifications for mechanical equipment, devices, and materials.
+ Familiarity with other building systems and coordination with those systems and components.
