We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic at our Kansas City, KS facility.

The open positions are for 2nd and 3rd shift, working 8-12 hour shifts, plenty of opportunity for overtime! The pay range is dependent on skills but currently ranges from $38-42 per hour.

These positions actively support the operations of the facility. The goal of the position is to keep all mechanical and electrical systems in the assigned areas maintained and repaired.

**District Overview**
Our rapidly growing Power district, which includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, is a multi-faceted division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the EPC delivery model for power facilities. **Location**

**Responsibilities**
+ Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), plans, sections and details, drawings, equipment layout, and design/model in 3D for power plant systems which could include: steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, rotating equipment (generators) systems, and Balance of plant systems (compressed air and gas systems, service water, HVAC). Designs include equipment layout and complete mechanical systems, including checking interferences and constructability.

+ Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion.

**Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years' experience in Design and/or Drafting disciplines with a background in Piping and/or mechanical equipment and systems design in a 3D modeling environment. Power generation experience is preferred.
+ Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting/Design or engineering preferred; minimum Highschool or GED Diploma
+ Experience utilizing 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SmartPlant3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk, Open Plant or similar programs as well as knowledge and experience using latest computer operating systems and office software. Able to utilize software to check for interferences and constructability in designs.
+ Must have experience conceptualizing designs/models in a 2D/3D environment designing similar mechanical systems and equipment as outlined above. Experience designing and modeling piping and equipment layouts in the Power market (power generation - thermal, hydroelectric, wind/solar, geothermal) highly desired but will consider candidates with strong mechanical design skills in other Industrial processing markets, or Oil and Gas/Chemical plants. Experience creating P&ID's, plot plans and drawings for construction packages.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machine failures. This role involves performing diagnostics and repairs on industrial machines and equipment. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Kansas City Clinical Supply Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and technical support for service and repair of packaging equipment in the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) packaging rooms in building P on our campus. You will support packaging operations by providing quality, compliant and timely equipment service to prevent excessive down-time and ensure optimum equipment operation. As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide technical assistance to operators on a daily basis.
**This is a full-time hourly position on-site: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11pm (2nd shift). Occasional overtime as needed to meet production needs.**

**The Role:**
+ Communicate with business line leaders providing data to develop priorities for maintenance repairs
+ Provide support for validation, calibration and preventative maintenance of all GMP equipment and systems
+ Diagnose and repair of all electronic, pneumatic and control system problems on GMP equipment. Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing/packaging equipment
+ Perform preventative maintenance tasks on GMP and non-GMP equipment. Respond to all non-routine maintenance calls including "on-call" scenarios for off-shift production
+ Execute equipment-related work orders in support of Operations. Manage and order equipment spare parts inventory. Troubleshoot problems during equipment set-up/change-over
+ Provide technical support to equipment operators to prevent unsafe operations of equipment and to prevent unnecessary damage to equipment
+ Source or fabricate small tools and/or modifications to equipment. Assist in design and implementation of engineering controls. Assist process engineers as needed
+ All other duties as assigned
**The Candidate:**
+ High School Diploma/GED or vocational/trade school degree required
+ Must have two or more years of previous manufacturing equipment maintenance experience or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
+ Past experience with service and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment/systems is required
+ Basic computer skills required - including but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, and Inventory Systems
+ Must have basic mathematical skills and ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
+ Ability to communicate and collaborate with external vendors as necessary
+ Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems
+ **Physical requirements:** stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, and reach with hands and arms for up to 8 hours per day. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen. Able to work with respirator (P100, PAPR, etc.). Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
