**SCHEDULE AND TRAINING**

+ Clinic positions require you to attend 2-3 weeks of training. The first week will be at our Tigard basecamp and partially remote, the second and third weeks include traveling to multiple clinics in the area.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
+ 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
+ Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
+ Able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
+ Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AthenaOne and other relevant software applications.

+ Practice Management Activities: These job tasks are primarily indirect patient care (i.e. non face-to-face) to be performed competently, accurately and consistently according to established regional/departmental clinical protocols, policies and procedures and standards. They are: Maintains and adjusts clinicians patient schedule for efficient patient flow that facilitates appointed visits and overbooks. Assists with on-boarding of new hires/transfers and/or validating peers clinical skills. Reports errors, near misses or other hazards in a timely manner per established procedures. Seeks assistance with duties when unable to perform safely, lacks training or outside scope of authorized duties. Completes annual competency assessments and trainings by meeting organizational standards and expectations. Demonstrates and maintains clinical knowledge and skills related to departments clinical area and contributes new ideas to assist team in achieving departmental/regional quality and service goals/initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Employees must be able to successfully obtain Kaiser Permanentes Medication Administration Competency Certification within ninty (90) days of employment as a Medical Assistant.
Education
+ Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program approved by the State.

+ Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington)
+ Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire

Working to assist OMG providers in providing health care at OMG clinic locations. The Medical Assistant serves the patient and the provider by gathering and maintaining the necessary medical information in a cheerful, friendly, personable manner; providing quality patient care and helping to establish rapport between the physician and patient.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Prepares patients for examination and treatment and documents chief complaints
+ Obtains patient histories and vital signs and records accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
+ Assists with patient exams, procedures and collection of specimens as assigned
+ Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per physician's instructions
+ Understands and interprets current immunization schedule. Administers injections safely
+ Stocks supplies and prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing or minor surgeries
+ Responds to incoming phone calls and refers if necessary. Calls patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments

**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or RMA required, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
+ Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
+ 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience

The hourly range for this role is $6.00 to 28.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
